A short writing exercise (a drabble, I do suppose) concerning Cadence's experiences being held prisoner by Queen Chrysalis under Canterlot in the season 2 finale, before Twilight finds her.

Pegasus [noun]: a winged pony resident of Equestria with the ability to walk on clouds and manipulate the weather.

A pegasus' most defining feature is its ability to fly. But what happens when a pegasus is born without wings? Would you even still consider it a pegasus, even though it retains all other traits typical of a pegasus pony? This is the story of just such a case -- a story about a pegasus coming to grips with just what it means to "earn your wings".
