An old unicorn is ready to leave the land of the living, but he first wants to tell one more story. A story about a herd that Princess Luna adopted, and the duties of the herd. Some call them a dangerous league, others call them a dark force, but they are not evil. They are the Soldiers Of The Night.

This story is a sequel to The Monster of Canterlot

We all know the story of Chris Sol, the human prince of Canterlot, but what if there was another story that began a little after his began? A story that started in the Everfree Forest, where another monster lay hidden. James survived for years in the wild for years and is more frightening than anything the ponies have seen to this day. But now he will encounter the pegasus who will change his life, make the friends that will take him in, and meet the only other one of his kind.

This new unicorn is a stranger to Equestria, but he has to learn to fit in. some ponies are skeptical about his presence, but others consider him family. Discord, however, is not a fan of him being in equestria, and his jealousy will cause many problems. The unicorn will also have to deal with his personal demons, and learn to be proud of who he is.
This is a story of adventures, new experiences, self-acceptance, and love.
