So, One-shotober is over. · 12:05am Nov 1st, 2013
I could be a responsible adult, and use my now ample free time to take care of life's little trials.
I won't. I will be chain smoking, and playing the new Batman game.
...can I even call myself this if I quit smoking years ago?

Hello, everyone. I know that blog posts that act as a marker for this kind of thing are generally just a thank you. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the fact that you followed me, and I do want to thank you.
But I also want to ask a question. What genres do I do well with, and what genres do I need to work on?
Also, thank y'all for following me.
1st Thing: I have a new Pipe Down fic out. Again, crap is happening, and he's too old for it.
2nd Thing: I have created a Pipe Down group.
3rd Thing: I lied.
4th Thing: I did it again.
As many of you know, I am currently competing in One-shotober. I have to write 31 one-shots by the end of the month. It has been a little difficult, but the fast paced nature of it has forced me to be analytical of my writing style, and my sources of inspiration.
If you've followed me, then you might know that Pipe Down is my favorite character to write. "Why?" You ask. Simple, he's too old for this crap. It doesn't matter what it is, or when it occurred, he was too old for that crap when it happened. I'll be using this blog post to keep track of my Pipe Down fics.
I find most horror to be unreadable. Most of it relies on cheap gimmicks to create tension. The cheapest of all is, of course, the slasher-style story. I can't stand them. There are much better ways of creating an impending sense of dread in a work. I think I did well in the Blueblood's Pets stories, and I, as you can tell from my last blog post, intend to continue that storyline with a proper epic.
Hello, everyone! I'm happy to say that one-shotober is going well for me, but all these short fics make me want to try my hand at a longer one. I have two ideas to work with and personally I think they're great.
1. The Prince's Hounds.
I saw theexhaustedbrony do one of these, and I thought I might do one as well. So, ask me anything, and I will answer.
Ok, I've kept quiet about this for a while, but I really have to talk about the use of accents in dialogue. I'm fine with them really, but when someone not familiar with southern lingo takes a crack at it... Well, the results aren't always impressive. So, I thought I would lay some ground rules on this subject.
1. Y'all: a contraction of 'ye' and 'all'. Seriously, this is actually a really old word. It is plural. It is not appropriate to use it in place of the singular 'you'.
