My last blog post this morning was really random and poorly thought out. I thought I'd counter that with something more substantial, or at least more coherent.
My brother was blasting some pony tunes. Black Gryph0n came on. I remembered he's going to be at EFNW next year. I got happy! My thoughts shifted to Michelle Creber, since they're pals and stuff. This, logically, leads to Apple Bloom, Michelle's character on MLP. Hence the thought-
...it took me this long to figure out that Maybelle, the pony in Rarity's nightmare, is, in fact, a shameless reference to Mabel from Gravity Falls.
I haven't even seen Gravity Falls and I know it was blatantly obvious. Heck, they even copypasta'd her cutie mark off of her trademark sweater!
Wow, I really am dense. 
During which I'll talk about common misconceptions about Rainbow as a character and how smart she is.

A few weeks ago, a game started its Indegogo campaign. A game called Them's Fightin' Herds. Headed by Mane6 Studios, and created, in part, by Lauren Faust, it's a fighting game about hooved animals beating the ever-holy crap out of each other.
And boy does it look awesome so far. The campaign's losing momentum, though. So I'm going to plug it. This is the only time I'm likely to ask you guys to chip in to something.
It's a little... ok, a LOT darker than what I usually write, and it's about a dragon named Esmeralda.
It is both too short, and not about ponies, so I can't post it here. However, I'm providing a link to where I've posted it for those interested.
Alrighty, so we got another Crusader episode today. I wasn't expecting much- Crusader episodes often feeling subpar to me, with the sole exception being Flight to the Finish in season 4.
Boy was I surprised. More after the break.
