Totally awesome thank you very much!

E

A month after returning home from her adventures with the Saphire Stone, and Daring Do's already dying to head back into the field. Unfortunately for her, absolutely nothing seems to be happening. No danger, no disaster, no adventure ANYWHERE. Until she receives a letter in the mail, telling her to meet a mysterious pony at the Canterlot Museum. Upon arrival, she finds that the pony is not so mysterious after all -- in fact, she's just the opposite. Cassablanca Lily, of the Canterlot Lilys, is one of the most well known ponies in all Equestria. However, what she shows Daring is not. Somewhere below the Canterlot Museum lies a secret vault, lost to the civilised world for nearly two hundred years. The treasures it holds are innumerable and invaluable, but it's not what's in there that matters; it's what isn't. The Gryphon's Goblet, a powerful chalice immortalised in fairy tails, is missing, and no one knows for how long. It could be one year or one hundred and fifty. But one thing is certain: someone has to get it back, before whoever stole it finds out how to harness it's powers. And who better to do so than the amazing adventurer Daring Do?

DISCLAIMER OF SORTS:

Hello all who read! I just want to make perfectly clear that this is my version of how I believe the Quest for the Gryphon's Goblet would be. It is in no way canonical, and it's very likely that all there will be no real canon characters except for Daring Do (and possibly later Ahuitzotl, but not entirely sure yet), because let's face it, there's not much we know about the mysterious world of Do.

CHEERS!

THIS IS AWESOME!!!:rainbowlaugh:

Hmmm... I would probably suspect the Gryphons being involved. Largely because with a name like "The Gryphon's Goblet" it sounds like it used to belong to them.

I certainly hope that when the villain is apprehended they yell "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for that meddling explorer! And her dumb hat!"

I'm really liking this so far. Definitely going above and beyond what I expected.

I'm LOVING this! Very nice take on the next book in the Daring Do series, and Parquetry cracks me up!

I'll be waiting eagerly for the next chapter!:yay:

OK. I'm going to say it now: "The culprit is Casablanca." There, now you can change the story to prove me wrong... (just kidding) :twilightblush:

This looks like it's going to be great! On to the next chapter!

Keep up the good work. This looks like it's going to be quite the adventure!:twilightsmile:

Daring Do confirmed for badass!

Ah, old fasion whiskey to save the day. Absolute genius! Keep at it!

How is this not getting more comments?! Oh well, I'm loving this! Poor Daring Do, hope she can get to India safe and sound!

I was somehow expecting more action and adventure from a Daring-Do fic.
As charming as I found the antique shop and its owner, I can't help but feel that nothing really happened in this chapter. And I don't mean some action scene, chase or anything, I mean plotwise. Daring was looking for clues at the beginning, Daring is looking for clues at the end. Looks like some kind of paper chase at this point.
And I don't like the use of real world names. I expect a pony fic in Equestria to come up with original or at least ponyfied names.

But I enjoy your writing style, so I will give this one more chapter, to see if it catches my intrest.

Well, more plot and action in this chapter. But that killer pony and guns in Equestria? How would an earth pony even use a gun?
This is not my kind of fic.

Whee! So far I'm loving this! Daring Do has a new stalker! Not like I didn't stalk her before but you know! Anyway, GREAT job, and keep up the amazing work! Also, I love that the antique guy is named after a floor and yet he's never actually seen his floor :rainbowlaugh:

She (or he?) doesn't say it directly, but I'm sure Mr Moustache is a unicorn considering 'The gun cocked itself' and then later on she mentions 'But his magic was shaky now'.

Anyway, love it! I forsee a hangover in the next chapter :trixieshiftright: Unless SHE's a robot pony. As a side note: the world would be a better place if no one every woke up with a hangover.

Ummm, not to sound critical, because I do like the story, but when did Canterlot get a port? Or an ocean? :twilightsheepish:

Ahh the Cliff hangers :raritydespair: AHHHHH

Magic? Either way, interesting chapter.
