I tend to think like i think Twi does, that is, as i write each sentence, at least five possibilities come to mind for the next, and before i'm done with the current one i've already analyzed the grammar, spelling, punctuation and characterization of each option and chosen the best fit that results from this. then Sneaky comes along and points out where my fingers failed to translate this information currectly, or where booze told my brain that the sub-optimal choice was best.

I don't mind how he got there, but how he reacted? I do, there was no real shock at all, does he even care? I'll carry on as this is only the beginning, but I'm seeing far too many HiE fics in which the character's reaction to their situation is so subdued, as if they couldn't care less that they've switched worlds or time periods etc., and it really annoys me. Sorry to be complaining, but I suppose you wanted an honest opinion.
EDIT: I finished it, and while it is funny and I'm enjoying it, what I said still stands, and the budding romance is going a little fast, but it's funny, and I've read far, far worse. Good luck with your story!

thanks for your feedback, and honesty. yes i get what you're saying, there would, for most people, likely be a great deal more 'freaking right the fuck out.' but would there really be a 'standard' reaction for an earth native human suddenly finding themselves in a world of talking ponies? but also there is thought process to consider, and how an individual gathers and processes data is something that varies tremendously from person to person.
as for other HiE fics with muted reactions from the human characters, here's the shocker... i don't typically prefer HiE fics, there i said it. there are good ones, but almost all receive complaints of 'how did they get there' so i decided to tackle that by beginning at the beginning, meaning the initial reaction is included, and follows the logic that works in my head for how an analytical mind would tackle the issue.
on the pace of the romance, at least 'i' havent been offering twi and rarity mustache rides

on xeno-phobia, well so far he's only been in ponyville, and has been in the company of the princess all day. friendly town, already used to their resident biped that breathes fire, and twilight is right there with enough magic to gaurantee the town's safety.
