This must be another one of those fanfics where no one gives a shilling about Spike. It must suck being the only character who doesn't have any friends in a show about friendship.

I hope you don't think the following is in any way condescending. It is merely constructive criticism.
I'm sorry to say but I can't give a like to this story. I couldn't feel that sorry for Fluttershy; mostly because I didn't have a reason too. Why does she like Rainbow Dash? How long has she liked Dash? We weren't told why she has the feelings she does and why she feels this miserable about not telling Dash how she felt besides the fact that... she's shy. There have been multiple times in the show where Fluttershy has overcome fears; a dragon, a cockatrice, trauma from her childhood, etc. So why is she more scared of not telling Dash her feelings than a dragon about to kill her friends? Also, we were never told why Dash doesn't feel the same way or if she does or not.
Hay, we don't even know WHO she's getting married to. Is she getting married to an Earth pony, a Pegasus, or a unicorn? Is it a mare or a stallion? Is it even a pony? Is it Discord, Tank, or Mario? Once again, you haven't explained enough about why we should feel anything about this. When did Rainbow and her fiancé meet? Why do they like each other? What are the 'difficult things' that Dash had recently gone through?
Another problem is the ending. Why is it a cliffhanger? From what we've seen from the story, Fluttershy hasn't been able to tell Dash how she feels no matter how determined she was. So... why should we think she will now? If she isn't going to, then why make a cliffhanger? Is there going to be a sequel? If not, why is there a cliffhanger? It would only take about 100 words or so to describe Fluttershy letting her shyness win again, and the story is only about 2700 words long; 100 more wont kill anyone. There's leaving things to fan interpretation, and then there's simply not explaining.
To sum up; the biggest problem is the lack of explanation. For an audience to be emotionally engaged, you need to give them reasons to. Again; this is only meant to be constructive critisicsm, not condescending.
That song is pure perfection. I'm actually writing a story based on this as well, but it will be titled differently and a straight ship, because that's what I like best. But I do like the writing and that song is probably the best unreleased song ever made. So take my like.

Fluttershy.... this is a bad idea..... and also, you should make a short sequel telling about what happened after Fluttershy well... interrupted the wedding... heh heh.. heh... hehe
