Please let me know of any grammatical errors, and I hope you enjoy! :raritywink:

EDIT: Oh my! I just noticed it wasn't set to "Complete". So sorry about that! This was a one-shot, though it may be expanded upon with a sequel if enough people enjoy it.

This was brilliant, enjoyed every word of it. 5/5 my dear Slorg, you deserve every last one of those stars.

#3 · 147w, 1d ago · · ·

YES! I knew they would mess it up . . . somehow.

My hopes have been fulfilled. 5/5

#4 · 147w, 1d ago · · ·

pretty good. i was expecting some sort of yoda reference in there, what with it being a green master, and a frog.

#5 · 147w, 1d ago · · ·

loved it. Keep writing man you'd Make Derpy proud.:derpytongue2:

I'm very overwhelmed and grateful for the response this has received. I really appreciate all feedback, positive or negative. You all have no idea how much this means to me.

#7 · 147w, 1d ago · · ·

Funny I like it....Cause only a little kid could fuck up a metaphor that simple...:ajsmug:

#8 · 147w, 1d ago · · ·

And yet they still didn't learn the true lesson. :unsuresweetie:

Oh well, nice try anyway Twilight. :twilightsheepish:

Please do keep up the good work upon such great ideas like this one for future stories. :ajsmug:

Have all my stars. This has too be the best CMC fic i ever read :pinkiehappy:

#10 · 147w, 14h ago · · ·

Bill Cosby was right; all kids ARE brain damaged!

#11 · 147w, 13h ago · · ·

Well, Fluttershy could have gotten her Cutie Mark like that. She did always want to be a tree...:yay:

#12 · 147w, 13h ago · · ·

Oh my... Yoda+CMCs=complete amazement

#13 · 147w, 13h ago · · ·

That was great. Wish it was longer.

#14 · 147w, 13h ago · · ·

Only issue is the description makes people insinuate THIS.

Maybe remove the part: "a mysterious stranger who claims to be" or change "stranger" to "creature" or "sage".

#15 · 147w, 12h ago · · ·

Great story!:ajsmug:

#16 · 147w, 12h ago · · ·

Excellent story, it put a smile on my face

#17 · 147w, 11h ago · · ·

That was awesome! Five'd and fave'd!

#18 · 147w, 10h ago · · ·

Dat twist ending. :twilightsheepish:

It kinda reminds me of the 'i didn't learn anything' applejack letter.

#19 · 147w, 10h ago · · ·

loved it :yay::yay::yay::yay:

#20 · 147w, 7h ago · · ·

Ha ha, short but sweet, excellent fic. The Cutie Mark Crusaders were fully in character, and I loved the twist at the end there with "Master Doga", and how this could actually fit into the continuity

I know what we're all thinking at the end: Oh, those Crusaders :facehoof::ajbemused:

5/5. I love CMC fics.

There are 2 more in the series, find them here.

#26 · 146w, 6d ago · · ·

I gave it a 5/5. You did great with the Cutie Mark Crusaders' personality, especially at the end. The cliche thing to do was to have them understand what Doga was trying to tell them.:scootangel: But instead, you did what the Cutie Mark Crusaders would've done...misinterpret it and do something else.:unsuresweetie:

However, I feel that it just 5/5. I almost rated 4.5/5 because I feel that there could've been more done with it. But all they did was chase Doga through the forest.

#27 · 146w, 6d ago · · ·

>>187384 Thank you for the feedback. I was tempted to add more jedi-style training such as levitating rocks (picking them up in their mouths?), or standing on their heads. In the end, I omitted them, as I felt that even the Cutie Mark Crusaders aren't quite that dense. :facehoof:

It led to a shorter story (which is the number 1 complaint), but I prefer believability over false story length.

#28 · 145w, 5d ago · · ·

you should find some way to continue this cause it felt like it needed more anyway THIS IS EPIC HAZ MY STARS

#29 · 145w, 2d ago · · ·

I agree with Moon beam. Just when I was enjoying the banter and Star Wars reference, the fun ends.:fluttershysad: This looks ripe for a sequel.

That said, I think you called it right. I'd sooner read a short but believable story than a long one that throws my suspension of disbelief out the window. This was a fun read. Thanks for posting it, and congrats on getting it up on! That was how I came across it. :scootangel:

#30 · 143w, 5d ago · · ·

The ending actually surprised me.

Considering how I enjoy trying to figure out obvious things before they actually happen, that's a good thing.

#31 · 143w, 1d ago · · ·

It was like reading a script to an actual episode, awesome awesome job! :pinkiehappy:

#32 · 142w, 2d ago · · ·

I love the Yoda reference.  I was also thinking of the song Yoda by Weird Al. :rainbowlaugh:

#33 · 133w, 5d ago · · ·

I really enjoyed the story. Just for a second it felt like the story had run itself into a corner, but then the twist worked it out perfectly. :ajsmug:

I also have to add that I really enjoy your writing style. The stories may be short, but it doesn't feel like you're missing out on anything, when you're reading them. There's no need to extend them, but considering what I've read from you since, you're doing everything right.

Keep up the good work:coolphoto:

Love the Yoda Accent. :)

Doga is best frog.

#36 · 64w, 1d ago · · ·

Ahhh. Very interesting story this is. Mmm. The humor is strong with this one.

Feel, I do, that even the real Yoda would not be able to the CMC teach. Which just as well, it is. Those fillies as padawans? Feel a great disturbance in the Force, I would.
