A mare has arrived back in Ponyville, asking after Big Mac. A mare he never expected to see again. Seeing her again has brought Mac to a painful realization. Perhaps he can now move on.

Not bad. The opening is weak, and the story could use some room to breath in places, but it is an interesting peice.
My biggest question is Mac's reaction. We have seen him angry in the show, and it would seem to be an appropriate reaction to her, rather than falling back into despondance.
As for the rest, I loved the mane 6, especially dash's plan, and the story flowed well from there.

I liked this story. Mac's emotions, Dash's idea, the confrontation, Apple Bloom's feelings being a younger sister, it was all good and I enjoyed it.
Meh, not bad. Forgiveness is an action, a willingness to forget a action of another person that caused a negative reaction from you. It's not an emotion. Plus, I would say Twilight would be a better option for Mac. He needs someone to help him recover. Fluttershy can barely piece a sentence together, let alone heal a shattered heart.
Good but kind of had an abrupt ending.
