First chapter in and I love it.
Dude, this is great! Totally reminds me of those fantasy flicks about animals I used to read when I was little, Warrior Cats style but with raccoons and squirrels with swords or whatever. You've got the deep, descriptive storytelling feel down really nicely, and it reads like it's been written by a thinking person, which I'm pretty sure is a good thing as far as anyone's concerned! This'd be a good read outside at night next to a fire, I think.
Anyway, things I thought I would mention, possible improvement-wise, is that it doesn't really feel like mlp...it's new, kinda different, almost like a whole alternate universe where we come across some familiar names. It's kinda refreshing, actually, so it's not really a problem! The only other thing is that every now and again you kinda string your descriptions along a bit, where maybe you could break it up with a colon or comma, just so it stays bite sized, you know? Anyway, good job, and I'm really liking it so far. Stay kewl!

The writing on this story is amazing. I am glad to see how these characters are turning out. I find my self anticipating the next chapter more and more each day.
