Indeed. This is in no way a small work. I imagine that it consumes a great deal of your time. My writing does too. Even a very basic story of ten thousand words or so takes a few weeks.

No, there's nothing especially pleasant about this work. This is very challenging work, one that has taken me from hatred to tears. I despise Daemeon. I was Daemeon once. It "didn't wash". I came into this story expecting a typical My Little Dashie rip-off. I left it shaking and mouthing "Oh, man" over and over.
This is a hard, thoughtful, philosophical work. One of these characters has to have their entire perception of life ruined. One is trying to subjugate the other, manipulating her. At the same time, she'd cracking him open. They are both bound together. There is nothing easy, happy, or pleasant about this work...

I was brought to this story by a comment from the Descendant, and I would like to begin by saying that this story is far under-appreciated.
I believe that Daemeon is among the strongest characters I have ever read, and I HATE HIM SO MUCH. As of course is intended. I don't think this is going to end particularly well for Daemeon, as he does not deserve it. While I do not particularly wish death upon him, I do want him to realize what he really has done to people, for him to regret it with no hope for atonement.
I agree that this is not a particularly pleasant read, but to infer that I find this a bad fic would be incorrect. It has strong characters and an oddly interesting premise. We watch as a despicable man's world falls apart around him. Every one of us has, at some point, been a servant of our own circumstance, while perhaps not as clearly-defined as a magical pastel pony, certainly no less so. What Daemeon must come to realize is that while we are all just pawns in our world, our lives are no less significant for it.
I agree with my fellow commenters that this story has not received a just amount of appreciation, and I hope it does so soon. I look forward to upcoming updates and to the further development of Daemeon's instability.

Thanks for the critique. As to the deleted comments, I assure you they were nothing crude. Descy was kind enough to offer some grammatical critiquing. The comments just seemed less relevant after the fact so I deleted them.
