Come on, everypony! It's time to sing!
This installment into the Poems of Ponyville Series is the first special edition! Yay! This special will include some nice christmas carols that have been reworded to fit in with the My Little Pony universe. Enjoy! Don't forget to comment, like, and favorite too!
(I mean..i-if that would be okay with you...)

Chapters (5)
Comments ( 36 )

Probably the darkest out of all of the carols. But I don't think it was enough to warrant a "dark" tag. Remember to comment to tell me what you think and give constructive criticism if necessary!:pinkiehappy:

I had a LOT of fun writing this one. It's amazing what boredom in French II class can produce...:rainbowlaugh:Remember to comment to tell me what you think and give constructive criticism if necessary!:pinkiehappy:

This one was...alright, I guess. It's rather short, and the title is a bit silly, but I suppose that's alright. Remember to comment to tell me what you think and give constructive criticism if necessary!:pinkiehappy:

This is the most triumphant sounding carol out of all of them. It sounds pretty cool when sung aloud. As a note, I think that this poem had some slightly dark undertones, akin to "God rest ye, merry Elements." Again, not enough to warrant a "dark" tag. Remember to comment to tell me what you think and give constructive criticism if necessary!:pinkiehappy:

This one, admittedly, did drag on a bit...perhaps it just would have been better to only write the twelfth day.:twilightblush: Remember to comment to tell me what you think and give constructive criticism if necessary!:pinkiehappy:

I find it sad that all of these comments, are yours.

"Please, sisters send your Elements
The six powers you gave."

I feel that you should add the word "that" to the second line. It needs an extra syllable to roll off the tongue well.

"Please, sisters send your Elements
The six powers that you gave."

The syllables don't work with the tune, as "reindeer" has two and "pegasus" has three.

Eleven Doctor Whooves forms. I see what you did there.

1766056I figured that, if you swing the notes during the lines including "pegasus," it works. It works that way, right?

1766021:fluttercry:
1766046That's good, right...?
1766070:rainbowkiss:
1766069>>1766149Thanks to you, and everyone else who enjoyed the poems/carols! You're all awesome!:pinkiehappy:

Gotta tell you, I went through these and found myself greatly amused.

Preview: "Dashie76, the Bard"

-Minty

The fire's still glowing as I carry my plate, laden with cookies – none of which I ate!
They're all made for Santa because he's coming tonight, sleigh bells a-ringin' led by Rudolph's light.
He'll slip down the chimney, quiet as a mouse, and tiptoe so carefully through our small house.
With a gentle "Ho-Ho-Ho" he'll creep to our tree, and leave a gift, especially for me!
I've been really good, say my Mum and Dad, and Santa rewards those who haven't been bad,
I made sure to leave a carrot for each single reindeer, so maybe Santa will bring something special this year!

Santa's waiting outside my door, but I don't want to see him any more.
Mummy and Daddy are lying in bed, I wish I could call them, but they're already dead.
The reindeer are wailing, rattling cries, as their teeth gnash together with each roll of their eyes.
Their carrots ignored, their sleigh forgotten; their flesh torn apart and turning rotten.
The neighbours are screaming, they're being eaten alive, Santa's a zombie and it's a fight to survive,
His beard is not white, but soaked a blood red, from when he ran at my Daddy and bit into his head,
I can hear him moaning outside my door, I hide inside my cupboard, curl up and cry on the floor.

The sunlight is shining, but I don't care, because instead of snow angels, there's blood everywhere.
The reindeer are gone now, well, those that aren't dead because they hit some so hard that it smashed in their head.
My house is in ruins, my presents in tatters, but as I look around I see none of that matters,
My family are gone, eaten like cookies, and I'm left all alone in the garden to freeze,
Then just when I thought Santa really didn't find me! That when I heard that low guttural moan, from just behind me...

"Ohh Ohh Ohh"

1766453Oh my God. That was...actually really scary. Just...wow. Did you come up with that just now? If so, you've got talent.

1766442Achievement gained - Mintelle's title.
BEST DAY EVAR!

1766281 Yes, it is good I laughed at your 12 days of Hearths Warming. It's just too damn funny!

1766776Okay, good! I was worried for a second there...I'm glad you like it!

I was trying to sing this, though maybe it would be better to either say "A Derpy in a Muffin Tree" or "A Derpy Plushie in a Tree" makes it easier to sing along with, but overall Good job. I really enjoyed singing it :twilightblush:

1767601I guess "Derpy plush in a tree" makes sense. Perhaps I'll edit it...And I'm glad you like it!
1767793:fluttercry:

This was actually really amusing.
There are some people who I'm actually going to send the lyrics to.

The end should have Ben,

"Fluttershy the no-fly Pegasus...
You'll go down in histor-SQUEE!"

1771844God dang it, why didn't I think of that.:twilightangry2:
1772087The instrumental version has a unique feel to it...:ajsmug:

I was grinning ear to ear, dancing in my seat, and laughing hysterically, all whilst singing along. That final verse,..........just that final verse, I can think of only a few other lines that have made me laugh as hard.

1774789I'm glad you like it so much! I can't believe it already has 18 upvotes...

Time for Fairs and time for laughter!
Time for singing in the rafters!

This line! :rainbowlaugh:
