So, is raping their performers after a show a common business practice for them or something? They seemed like they didn't know rape is illegal. I mean, they did it in their own place of business, filmed it with the intention of selling the footage, and didn't even hide their identities as far as I can tell. That would be a pretty fast conviction.
1700627 There's an interesting point. I thought this exact thing myself: "Trixie knows her abuser by name, she could easily go to the police."
But, Trixie isn't strong. No, she buckled at the first stimulation. No, Trixie may be strong and charismatic on stage, but when the knife's to her throat, she'll piss her pants like any bitch.
And that is what makes the ending that much more frustrating for her and the reader. I love and loath that feeling. "But she could do that!" She could, if she were better.
It's really bitter, I know(and I actually like Trixie, that's the worst part). Maybe her new agent will steel her resolve and help her seek justice, revenge even. Alas, we'll never know properly, as this story is done.
I can't decide if this story is hot or sad. It's quite a bit of both. :(
Kind of wish Trixie could get some kind of happy ending, bitchy as she may be.
