I am an unknown pony. I use to play at the gala but now I don't anymore. no pony knows who I really am. Now I just play the piano for other amusement at a run down bar.

Well, I'm not quite sure whether to thumbs-up this or not. I mean, I love the concept. It's just that the writing needs surgery. My advice: Shop around for an editor. If this (a) gets updated at a reasonable pace, and (b) gets edited, I may even fave it.

I believe we do have many male BG ponies so it must be the factor of of prejudice of male characters in the fandom for besides Time Tuner (also infamously know as the The Doctor from the Doctor Who series), they receive little love. Another point of this would be Doughnut Joe as to how he doesn't even have a character tag in this site, yet he has the most lines compared to other background ponies we have thus far.

I think that since we are a male dominant fandom that we tend to think about the opposite sex. But then again...not their fault. There is a lack of males in the show at all.

Indeed and you know what, I believe in a philosophy: Where one side is hurt, the other side weeps. For who said the female getting all the glory is necessary a good thing? Case in point, look at Lyra and BonBon and how people seemed to jumped the gun and believe that they are a couple due to hanging out all the time in the show (while there is time that they do not), as to how people people like to pair up Octavia herself with Vinyl Scratch where there wasn't even single scene in the show to prove they know each other. Mind you I have nothing against having a female being paired up with another female (so long it is executed properly like all other forms of romance) , but what I have against is the rational behind it that people supported the idea because ''the fandom says so'' which makes me wonder if its some twisted form of casual sexulization of lesbians, as in using them as tools. In my mind everyone is straight in any story unless executed properly to make me believe that they are attracted to the sex gender. Now...the most influential community to make these fannon things come true is, Now I could be wrong because this is just an idea, The fanfiction community and the art community of MLP. There are several stories in this fannon that support some and if not most cases. Anthroplogy is looked at with high regard and supports the fact on Lyra being a human. Sure there were previous notions about her obsessive behavior towards it but Anthropology proved it to be true. The life and times of a winning pony is slowly gaining the fact the Cloud Kicker is a horny mare who just sleeps with everypony and now most people will believe that to be true. With the case of Vinyl and Octavia, I theory that they are both musicians but they are the opposite musical genre. So they got in their head with they should live together and then two's company, three's a crowd which is a popular Story on the site, help state the fact that Octavia and vinyl are a couple. Wow i can rant.

Don't remind me, I know very damn well where her infamous catch-line originated from. At the time, the origin of the catch-verse in question was amusing the first time since it was just a play with words (or editing as the case may be since it came from a video). But to hear it over again in a different franchise in a character that is inspired by the video has really gotten me irritated rather quickly since the line was non-intelligible, and rather demeaning since it was spoken by a male character, then its been re-purposed (if you want to call it that) in favor to a guy`s idea of a fanfic that people seem to think its the most original idea yet. But that's enough teasing, let me show you the origin of that.....speech, just look at the first 30 seconds of the video everything beyond that is rather....silly so you can stop the video at the 0:30 mark.
As for Lyra, it`s hard to treat her as serious background character anymore as everybody likes to drag her fan-made human obsession to the ground where it`s hard to integrate something original to the said character without people pushing you to add the overly-used fandom traits that they love. as for Anthropology, its been ruined for me as i would like to see it as a different way to express character in a given community but unsurprising they exploit this in favor of sexually threatened positions (in any given form of fanfics, arts or otherwise). I can tell you for as a fact that I can never look at Sonic the Hedgehog and the Star Fox fan community in the same way again (thus scarring my childhood memories).
Personally I believe there is nothing wrong with rants, so long as it is done probably, it can helps shows character that may or may not proves that you are not bound by any given social structures and can give a sound, constructive criticism without fear from backlash by the people to show that you are different (or so I would like to express it as anyways).

1) She is roommates with Bon Bon and has an overly obsessive view towards humans which will bother her
2) She is dating Bon Bon but has a mild view on humans and is just curious
3) She is dating and/or married to Bon Bon and has no idea on what a human is.
4) she isn't into humans but if she meets one she will develop curiosity about them.
That is what I notice from the fan fiction in most of the stories I read. For any other community like sonic or star fox, I never knew the bad side of it and wasn't even contribute anything to that fandom. I like the games and characters, (Sonic over Mario) never knew how terrible the fandom is until people tell me about it. Now these stories that I mention are not terrible in my views and not saying that the writers are bad. It is how the fans view them and interpret them to become fannon. I love Anthropology and Lyra being a human but you need to give me a reason as to why she is obsessed with it. The writer gives an extensive back-story to it. So I can believe why she likes humans. For the other characters...you need to make me believe that this is true unless it is cannon in the show.

pretty much sums up the types of Lyra's in the fanfiction, as for Starfox and Sonic, one can imagine you can search for popular and cool art work while while what turns out to be.......the typical results in well, female character in a demeaning posture as well as terrible OC (most popular out of these were like Sonic`s ''long lost sibling'' but with ridiculous overly powered things to kill the mood).
As for Lyra being either Anthropology or human, there can only one explanation for Lyra`s obsessions in the eyes of the fandom.......and it involves clop. I have yet to see a story without that element in stories as well as without romance.

I have yet to read a clop (or in fact any clop centric stories because they are not my type. With demeaning postures I don't need to say much without pointing out rule 34. So it is society's fault at that as porn will exist somewhere on the internet. I will read stories that have clop but not when the story is mostly clop.

One question shows that 50% of the fans approves/engages the R34 with ponies while a total of 80% of tolerates R34 (of while the other 15% disagrees and loathes it). Another note too is that Rainbow Dash is highly recognized as a sexual icon for lesbians in the community to which I find very sad and even give pity for Rainbow Dash for how the community treats her for not the idea of her being a lesbian but how she is treated based on the perception of her appearance, such as her hair, and her personality.

I do not partake in it and like to think of it as a kids show for younger people to love and we just came along and made it bad...I think they are adult in the show or at least teenagers. And I believe that they know what sex is but are not horny and don't go through the estrus cycle that people claim to be and don't have the urge to have sex. Like in the story My Second Life I found them to be the best and exemplifies them in the show. Now A glanced at the link since it is long and the time is late and notice that some of those characteristics are true about me while not so much on others. Remember...not everyone partook in the survey so there might be some mistakes with it. The grim dark gore aspect is that I believe to be loss of limbs and terrible damage...but not excessive amounts. I think they understand sex and know what it is but I doubt they have sex toys and porn mags, debating on models would count towards it like fleur. I am fine with shipping but please make it believable...I don't think that any of the alicorns should be shipped with each other, no twilight dating celestia. Shinning Armor and Cadance MUST be together and unless they get a divorce or something...make it believeable. The other shipings are fine by me as long as they a believable and have a great back story. FREAKING LONG RANT!
