Must say that this was a very interesting read! The information was legitimate and written in an interesting way.
Quick note is that Discord broke out of his prison because, according to the show, the elements were no longer bonded with Celestia and Luna.
Ignoring that however everything else was great, and heck I even learnt a thing or two

Interesting ideas abound in this story! There is one tiny thing I feel you might change:
"The deity aspect is explained by a technologically produced message that was given to the first ponies that discovered the Elements. The ponies watched a video or something similar of one of these ancient beings telling them what the Elements of Harmony were."
If the sky diety's civilization were so advanced to create the Elements, perhaps they could also have created technology related to direct transfer of data by physic transmission? That would seem a little more mysterious than just saying "They explained it through a video". It breaks the flow of the story and sounds a tad bit mundane.
This is a interesting story you're working on; I'd love to see more of it!
The bolded word should be "respective" instead; it seems to me that's what you intended to say. Am I wrong?

1607185 When I wrote the story I didn't even know what Ember was going to be, I tried to make it so the gender could lean either way. I'm still indecisive about it so I'm seeing what other people think. Thanks for the input and I'm happy you liked the story!
I must be a chauvinist at heart, because I thought Ember was a stallion. We could always use more stallions!
1612780 It's funny how in the average story, especially video games having the main character as a male is just the normal thing to do and when someone makes the main character a female then its different and sometimes even unusual but in the world of MLP this is reversed...interesting
