Thanks. I thought it was alright, though at times I was worried it would get a little stuck. I'm also snowed under with uni work at the moment, so I'll try to get one more out by next weekend, but don't hold your breath I'm afraid. Will definitely keep working at it though.

Yeah, I had no intentions of her ever being a companion, I've already actually got a basic plan sorted out, and while it needs a little fleshing, it's pretty much mostly decided, and while it takes more from vegas than the other games, it's definitely not a clone of it.
The religious conflict was always one of my earlier major points. Most peoples characters in FoE seem to be vault dwellers and have a certain view on the world, I wanted to try a new direction of a religious tribal, so knew nothing of the past, but was more understanding of the present, if only just. And yeah, he's going to flip when he sees one.
As for misfortune, I think I said in the first chapter that it was a.357 revolver, or at least heavily implied it, but that was a while ago, so I might be wrong with that. It's basically a pretty basic gun, that only does the damage on those "lucky" shots.

In honesty, I'd actually written the first three chapters before new years eve, in 4 days. Was bored, and had no internet or tv. The grammar was terrible, and it needed editing, but I've only written 2 chapters in 2 months. I have found though that that is mainly through procrastination. When it comes to me actually doing it, I can write a full chapter ready to be edited in 2 days if I focus on nothing else. When my summer holidays roll around, I'm probably going to take a full week off, switch off all the machines, and just blitz out like 5 chapters, in addition to the normal writing aim of one every 2 weeks
