It's not like the movies. Not every relationship is a perfect, happy ending. In fact, most are not, but Sonata didn't know that.

Now she does. And for the first time, Sonata's heart broke.

The worst thing is?

She has only herself to blame.

Who did the cover art for this story? Looks very VivziePop

Well, that certainly explains the Vivziepop vibe

Sonata needs a hug.

I tend to find music a good source of inspiration as well, actually. More recently, as i've listened to music, i think about which of my characters that song fits, or which scene it would play over

Hey sunset shimmer my favorite too.

this was a rlly enjoyable read, i was a sunata shipper back in the day, and this fic was a nice blend of bittersweet and stomp-on-ur-heart sad, the deleting pics esp rlly felt real to the teenage breakup vibe (who hasnt deleted smth in a fit of frustration and then realized a second later what uve done?)

glad this got recommended to me! really well done ^^

This story really excels at showing the complex feelings of a breakup, especially between two people who still want to be amicable. Throughout everything, you can definitely sense the affection Sonata and Sunset still have for each other, and the way you feel things building toward the emotional climax just makes it sting all the harder when it hits. I did wonder a bit how Sunset got on dating terms with Sonata to begin with, but dwelling excessively on that point probably would have detracted from the overall mood this story is trying to capture. Well done, and congrats on your well-earned Honorable Mention.

This is a fantastic story! I had spotted it but left it in my read later for a while, and man, I was missing out! Sonata's emotions are so easy to relate to, it's uncanny how you managed to convey all of them for a character that can be so overwhelming at times, and turn them into a true insight into her heart, her feelings, needs and frustrations.

Very well done!

Sad, but... cathartic as well? A very well done interpretation of a breakup and the emotions it can make you feel.

See the feelings?
Yeah, I do, too.
I really felt their love and bitterness, and they're really genuine characters.
They'll find someone better in the future, I'm sure. Sunset's so popular and strong, and Sonata's got an eternity to wait…:fluttershysad:
Keep up the good work!
