It is a beautiful day! The birds are singing, the sun is shining, and the weather is nice and comfortable to be outside. To top it off, Twilight Sparkle has absolutely nothing to do. Nothing, besides settling down in the park with a good book.
But, as things usually go in Ponyville, things won't stay "normal" for long. It starts with a tree, and a sneeze.

I realized it was a CHERNGELERNG all along! How did I know? It made a FATAL MISTAKE with its disguise that only a non-horticulturally-inclined bug pone would make! .... Spruce trees have NEEDLES, not leaves!
This was a fun story! Changelings acting independently and turning "good" before the season 6 finale are always neat, and Twilight's bafflement at a talking tree and her working out their motivations was nicely written.
Hello! I'm reading my way through the treefics, so here's your review. Even though I'd guessed what was up with the tree very quickly, I still enjoyed this -- some interesting changeling lore and a bit of humour too. Upvoted!
