I give this fic an A!
Every moment is packed with unique jokes, not a moment feels like filler.
The song is a bit confusing, but everything else lands perfectly.
Hexadecimal is a bitch, isn't it?

Believe it or not, this was a skill students were actually required to learn in the 1950s-1970s during the "new math" movement. After Sputnik was launched, politicians made a bunch of changes to try to made them look like they were "catching up" to the soviet education system, and things like multiplication tables were replaced by things like alternative base systems and set theory.

This was extremely unpopular and eventually reverted because it was obviously dumb.

Thanks! The song is admittedly hard to follow, but there's only so much you can do to make apple arithmetic sensible.

Yes, this story was heavily inspired by New Math.

... But why Twilight be so stupid. Love the story.

In fairness, was New Math really any more useless to anyone who isn't either a physicist or engineer than every other math after algebra is?

"Ffffffffffff..." she fffurther hissed.

Was that on purpose or a mistake?

"It'th not tho hard onthe you underthtand, ith it?"

On the/on da/on thuh

"Twilight, teaching teaching is a task for a teacher."

Once again, was this on purpose or a mistake?

That was a good story.

If we're being fair, we then need to point out that New Math was replacing stuff before algebra. Apparently actually replacing, at that.
