This was a really well written story. I love the idea of the Mane Five (especially Sunny) going back and reading through the stories of the Mane Six-in my opinion that is the best way to connect the two generations of ponies in a way that doesn't feel forced or out of place. I really hope we get to see something like that in the canon series.
Also, while I didn't know why you made Flurry Heart wear braces, I do like your depiction of her. She seems to have become quite the intelligent young Alicorn over the years, with more empathy than Twilight likely due to her connection with her mother. Still, I do wonder what happened to her after that. The disappearance of Cadence and Flurry Heart is one of the great mysteries of G5, after all, along with the whereabouts of the other creatures, such as the dragons, griffons, and hippogriffs.
Anyway, great job with this. I am excited to read more from you in the future!

Thanks for the nice comment. Also, the reason Flurry wears braces is to emphasize that "she's a nerd like her father".
I suspect that Discord has some part in this. Maybe at some point, Flurry's gonna properly punish Starlight and Tempest.
