Yay whit it!!!

Sequels1

T

Chrysalis failed to embody the princess of love and control a good part of Equestria, and during her revenge monologue, she finds a little pony with a cruel story that even the queen could not believe.

The sequel of the story can be read here A Spark of Hope, written by Prismfire , I know you will love it as much as this one.

thanks for the grammar correction

dude this is great!
Also why do i have a feeling that his mother just dumped him? If so make that whorse suffer thanks :)

his mother just dumped him?

I don't think that's what happened.

Don't read this spoiler.

His mother had already been replaced years ago. The changeling impersonating her was splattered by Shining Armor's spell. That's why the foal was alone.

That's my guess anyway.

or maybe the mother died from some kind of predator in the forest, or turned to stone when she saw "Sockatric". (It is more sad if the mother and the child both met him, but the child was saved by the fact that she cannot see the "stone look")

I'm becoming very fond of Chrysalis being a somewhat mother figure to Clear Spark despite she's a changeling queen and would have drained him of his love but thankfully she didn't.

Clear Spark does not mind that her companion is somehow too smooth to the touch and has no hair? (The chitin should theoretically be very different to the touch from ordinary ponies.)

The extra apples makes me wonder if Petal Dance might have tried to Hansel and Gretal Clear Spark.

"How strange, my mommy always puts only one apple, today she gave me several."

I am 95% certain now that his mother dumped him.

Damn an update already? I really enjoy this story so far,

What a disappointment Chrysalis will be when she does not find love from Spark's mother.

*hoof, I don't think pony-like creatures have chins.

This has been a very interesting read so far!

That was a interesting story goodluck with the rest of it.

Well this is depressing. Thank you.

Either Chrysalis is very good at faking emotions(likely), or she does`t have it in her to kill a child.

11451328
This is depressing to you? I've found it quite wholesome so far. It's pretty refreshing after spending hours reading the most grimdark fanfiction I've read in my life.

"Yes, sometimes I hear her crying from my room and her friends stay with her all night until she stops crying, you can tell they love her very much because the next day they all wake up very happy." Replied the happy unicorn.

"Everyone?" Asked the queen raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, almost every day a stallion accompanies her until she stops crying, but sometimes when she feels very bad two or three accompany her to make her feel better, sometimes some mares also help her."

"Your mother has a social life that is very... active."

"I like that my mommy has a lot of friends to help her when she is sad."

"It's nice to have ponies that care about you..." Chrysalis understood perfectly well what Clear Spark meant when she said her mother `cried` all night and was a little glad that the foal's fragile and innocent mind was not soiled by her mother's loving sounds. "...But I would like to talk to your mother about her friends when I meet her." The queen was going to have to have a serious talk with Petal Dance about having to attend to her needs away from her son.

Is Petal Dance just promiscuous? Or is she whoring herself out to make ends meet? Oh geez, what if that's her special talent? I could easily see petal dance being a euphemism for sex.

Thank you for posting another chapter so quickly.:pinkiehappy:

Oh I see you posted two new chapters can't wait to read them when I read the description of the story I was like this could be a really good story and I was proven right.

All right time to read hopefully our character will see a bit of happiness and keep up the good work

Wow this chapters hinting at something between chrysalis and Clear Spark maybe I see a tiny chance of Chrysalis caring for him

Okay I see what's going to happen next I'm quite nervous about the mother but if chrysalis doesn't find her or ends up finding out the truth I can see Christmas getting angry at the mother and doing something to her after that I could see Crystal's adopting him and taking him along with her here's hoping that what I'm saying isn't true keep up the good work and I am rooting for the both of them

She was a prostitute? Ok, well there goes my theory out the window. Though I still think having her be a changeling would have made everything come around full circle very nicely once Chryssy realized. It also would have explained why Clear Spark didn't think her chitin was unusual. His mother might have occasionally been lazy about her disguise, given that he's blind, so it would have been familiar to him.

Little odd how suddenly Chrysalis' personality has changed this chapter.

11451853
I wouldn't say Chrysalis's personality has changed, she's just warmed up to the colt. I imagine we'll most likely see Chrysalis's dark side again when she ventures into Canterlot and probably faces off against the Canterlot Royal Guard.

So Spark's mom is a harlot and a gold digger who sees her own son as a nuisance and a pain. Poor kid and his innocence

Looks like I was right about the Hansel and Gretal bit.

11452313
Harlot? Gold digger? All I see is a slut.

Someone call Princess Cadenza. Her canonical domain is family.

[Dumbledore]: “You must be the one to take care of Clear Spark, Chrysalis, it is the only way.“

That was a good chapter.

Wouldn't it be easier to send a child to an "orphanage" or "shelter" referring to the fact that the mother is not able to provide for the child than to stupidly throw the child in the forest?
It's like the capital of Equestria. Where are public organizations looking?

I'm so invested in the story I need more it's very awesome I can't wait to see what happens next

11452814
Maybe mares abandoning their foals is an incredibly rare occurrence and that's why there aren't any services for lost foals?

11452926
then what to do in this world to children who have lost their parents as a result of an accident or illness?

11452814
Actually, orphanages or caretakers are not rare in Equestria, if you look closely the largest population are mares, most of the guards are stallions and the injuries are not something rare, it is common to see in the background some ponies missing a limb or something like that, with that, I deduce that the work of guard Equestria is much more dangerous than you think and it seems that it is normal to die during a mission.

That makes me think that ponies being a herbivorous breed are still prey to many natural hunters and it is normal that they are eaten by hydras, chimeras, timberwolf or any carnivorous creature of larger size and it would not be uncommon that one or both parents of a minor has been eaten by some animal.

I feel like I missed a whole chapter because Chrysalis seems to have a psychic transition too abrupt.

Chrysalis misses Spark and I can imagine the ponies she sucker punches in her way.

11452985
maybe so, but in any case, they are not 100% eradicated. Otherwise, Applejack and her parents would be all right.
Also, although it's impossible to say "illness", but judging by the episode "Mare do well", accidents are definitely not uncommon. (Unless, of course, the Friends of Twilight were deliberately endangering civilians in order to save them later.)

I just wanna give Chrysalis a great big comforting hug as she really needs it.

I can honestly say if I ever see a plushy that even resembles Mr Cuddles, I will buy it.

Interesting nobody heard Clear Spark call her Chrysalis and that he didn't say anything about her presenting herself as Crystal Ivy or that guard mentioning Chrysalis' attack. Unfortunate for the little fella, cute story so far.

Chrysalis urgently needs warm, cozy group hugs! Get together, people, help the poor queen!
approach to hug the crying queen.
