Rostok

the weakest thing there is and the smallest crawling thing, and the worm upon the earth and in the earth

In the depths of winter, a crater in the icy plains of Equestria is spotted by Canterlot's night-watch.

Two ponies are found, both deranged and mentally damaged, turning all of Canterlot's academia into turmoil, as just to how these two could appear, without any sign of what brought them, or without the fundamental power that controls all life in Equestria.

( A twist on the 'mystery ponies arrive in Equestria' theme, with added science and weirdness)

This shows a whole lot of promise. Here's hoping it delivers.

Hopefully I'll be able to write more when more free time / willpower arrives.

(I could've sworn I'd posted this earlier, but apparently not.)

It is said that all that was found when the castle proper was built, all the builders found was a fine white powder covering the floors, no trace any civilization

This chapter seems to have been rushed; it has lots of issues, some more obvious (such as the above) than others ("ba-ba-ing" over "bleating"). I suggest finding an editor to refine each chapter before you post them, and adding on to this chapter before moving on to a fourth.

Anyway, story-wise, I'm expecting the flashback to be related to Nightmare Moon's origin. My question is, if Luna was participating in recalling the memories, why was the "dark blue figure" treated without recognition?

Just fixed that. Thanks.
The "Ba-ba-ing" is the origin of the word "barbarian", as the Greeks thought all foreigners made sounds like sheep, and named them accordingly. It's meant to represent her not understanding their speech.

The whole flashback/memory section is from the alien mare's perspective, so she has no clue who Luna or Celestia are.

Short chapter, but excellently written.

This is really just an interlude chapter for what it is Luna actually saw inside the mind of the alien mare.
Shouldn't be too long now, done part of the next chapter already.

Bet that was unexpected.
Don't worry though, future parts won't suddenly turn into a sci - fi fest, The cast aren't going to go dimension hopping to some dystopian universe like that any time soon. I'll probably focus on the rehabilitation of the two vat-ponies.

In terms of POV, it could really be taken as either. I intended it to be Celestia looking through the vat-pony's memories of the event, but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter that much.
