I like the pretty ponies

Pain has been a reoccurring figure in Pinkie's life for years now. She and Rainbow have faced it together, adapted, and have been able to live life relatively normally despite everything. Though persistent, at one point or another her illness seemed to fade into the background due to their sheer resilience. ...Or at least, that's how it should have been.

This was really well done! You never made it feel too over the top or sappy, which would've been an easy trap to fall into given how serious Pinkie's condition is. And damn, the level of care they have for one another is really touching, you even had me getting a little misty eyed at work and everything.

I will assume that this was based on a real-life disease, but you avoided stating it in the story or the notes.

Is it a progressive case of PNES with fibromyalgia?

Anyways, the story was good and very bittersweet.

It is loosely based off of an experience of mine, but for the most part I did want it to feel pretty ambiguous so that any interpretation worked. I was almost going to narrow it down with a specific name, but I decided that that might pin the focus more on the scary condition than Pinkie herself and her experience with it. So no all things considered, not really. If anything, more of a vague amalgamation of different real world conditions.

This was a lovely story. I really don’t see Pinkie being happy all the time, and I feel that she’s hiding a lot more than she showed. You added a lot of depth to both Dash and Pinkie through this, and I really enjoyed it!
