When AU Rainbow lives her entire life in slow motion, does it become very silly? Or 20% more awesome?

As the title says, I was rewatching 'Run to Break Free' for like the 100th time, and one line in it always interests me. Rainbow Dash says she "Lives in slow motion" and the video shows everyone in slow motion, so I thought of a story idea. what if she actually does 'live in slow motion?' And how would that affect her relationships, how the movies went, etc. Do you see where I'm going here?

So of course, I took that question and went in a completely different direction from what Iamnotabrony456 seemed to mean.

Rainbow is, of course, awesome. But I'm not sure if this story about her is awesome enough to enter in https://www.fimfiction.net/blog/970306/science-fiction-contest-11-nov-2021-06-jan-2022.

I accidentally made a comment here.

"Rainbow's body can't move quickly," Pinkie said. "So if you TRY to make her move quickly, you just...fail."

Dare I ask what happens if you put her in a car? Or mass transit?

In any case, delightful bit of silliness. Thank you for it.

Fluttershy whispered, "If you move slowly enough, it's very hard for people to notice you're moving at all. That's exactly Rainbow's natural speed of movement."

Cure the Twilight Sparkle flip out: "That's not how physics work! That's not how any of this works!":twilightangry2:

"Pretty much. I guess technically they can see her, but they just don't notice."

Wouldn't the simple act of Rainbow moving at that speed be more or less impossible to not notice? Simply the novelty of her moving should at least turn some heads.

Plus the very fact she can articulate speech without equipment, indicates that she can't possibly be moving all that slowly in the first place.

"Rainbow's body can't move quickly," Pinkie said. "So if you TRY to make her move quickly, you just...fail."

This is funny, expanding on this moment would've been epic. Perhaps having her be so slow that the very act of laying hands on her is similar to running a sword against a wheet stone.

That said, the meta jokes at the end were hilarious. And Twilight being a general grump was highly enjoyable.:pinkiehappy:

Man, that brings me back - to the 80s!

It just takes longer for the vehicle to get started while it overcomes her inertia. Now, putting her on a vehicle which is _already_ moving - that's where things get a bit hair-raising.

Dare I ask what happens if you put her in a car? Or mass transit?

That is an EXCELLENT question! My guess is that she walks to school. And if someone driving a car isn't careful to avoid hitting her while she crosses the street, once you've read the story you can probably already guess what happens. :rainbowkiss:
