Have to say, thanks very much on sharing this short story. The first chapter is certainly quite enjoyable. Really enjoyed the dialogue between Hitch and Alphabittle as well as Hitch finding out that trinket is NOT as fake as either he OR Alphabittle initially thought.
On to the next chapter.
Great job on the humor in Hitch's arrival in the past (judging by Sunset Shimmer's appearance in Equestria, this is AFTER "Forgotten Friendship" but, judging by the dialogues, BEFORE Celestia and Luna retired. I DID really enjoy Discord making himself known to Hitch as well as Sunset and Twilight's own dialogue as they entered the throne room. And, yeah, even though this is a pretty big misunderstanding, I know it is going to get cleared up.
On to the next chapter.
Really got some good laughs out of the dialogues here, including Discord's figuring out how to activate the trinket purely by accident. Celestia's Suspiciously Specific Denial when Twilight was wondering out loud how the sun and moon lower and raise on their own and Luna's comment about how nobody says "Thank Luna".

Excellent work on this chapter again. Really enjoyed the G4 characters' reactions to Bridlewood as well as meeting Sunny, Izzy and Alphabittle pretty much verifying Hitch's story. Also loved Discord's reaction to Sunny recognizing him as well as Twilight, Spike, Celestia and Luna and Izzy's reaction to seeing Spike pretty much mirroring Twilight and Spike's first meeting with Fluttershy.
And now, on to the last chapter.
Very enjoyable final chapter of this short story. Definitely liked Discord repairing Sunny's lighthouse (including the random aside concerning what sort of "cat" was involved), as well as Twilight mentioning the ponies of the past coming to visit once in a while (especially with the detail of Pinkie wanting to show up to throw a party) and Alphabittle's Suspiciously Specific Denial concerning why the ponies of the future still have Cutie Marks even with magic only returning very recently.
All and all, a rather enjoyable short story.
Great story! I laughed at this bit "Then, how did you, or anypony else get their cutiemark without magic?" Twilight wondered.
"Uhh..." Alphabittle bit his lip. "...Certainly not because we just tattooed them on!" That was precious.

I always fancy a g5/g4 crossover story. Don't think there's enough of them going around. And yeah, Argyle, even though he lived in his time had a lot of mystery going around him.
It could be that there are God's who are responsible for controlling the movement of the Sun and Moon and that the reason for Celestia and Luna is that they were once the Apostles of these Gods who were sent to Equestria to set the record straight for the Ponies that messing with the Sun constantly is going to be bad for them as it pisses off the actual Sun Goddess, only for them to instead try to pass themselves off as God's instead.
I'm a bit surprised Luna didn't get a wingboner when seeing Alphabittle and wanting to take him back with her to be her royal consort.
And then having a fight with Haven over whether Queen or Alicorn Princess is the higher rank and throwing down gauntlets and whatnot for the fair stallion's hoof.
Well this story was just great! Are you planning on writing a sequel?

Wow interesting start of a story so far hitch wanted to get something for sunny birthday which that is so nice of him so he went to bridlewood to ask Alphabittle if he has anything interesting so far he only gave him the crystal that supposedly make you go time-traveling which he says it doesn't work and of course he has to be a cheapskate and gave it to him so hitch felt like he got cheated so he was about to do something but it looks like the crystal activated and apparently it's supposed to lead to a Time in the past I wonder what time could he be
Okay it looks like hitch landed during the time either the ending of The Last Problem because Twilight is fully grown and it looks like he got himself in trouble with Discord and apparently Sunset is there as well asking her about the whole technology but when Twilight so what's going on she arrested hitch until they get everything situated let's hope this is just misunderstanding

So it looks like the two princesses finally made it and apparently they were talking about the mysterious Pony which that will hitch accidentally went through a Time portal and not always that probably just a misunderstanding so they test it out the Crystal and it looks like they're going to the Future but I wonder how the ponies in the future will react to the Alicorns of the past
Dang that was crazy but it looks like Twilight got some information what's going to happen in the future which that is pretty sad that this end up like that but good thing sunny and her friends brought back the magic of friendship back to the Equestria but they wanted to know who is Hitch Trailblazer which they got the information and now they need to bring him back to the future
Boy that was something I've always liked seen the past meeting the future even though it might just drop the time line and everything but still it's so pretty cool and it was also nice of Twilight Discord Celestia and Luna and of chorus Spike helping Sunny rebuild her house and hitch really is an awesome Pony giving her birthday gift so it looks like they can travel through time anytime they want I will say the best birthday gift ever this was a pretty nice story keep up the good work

And then you remember that James Marsden (the voice of Hitch) played Prince Edward in Disney's Enchanted, so Hitch pretending to be a prince actually seems plausible.
I always enjoyed them replacing God with Celestia in the various phrases where people say God.

There's enough information about Sunset Shimmer in Equestria for Argyle to tell stories, but nothing about Starlight Glim-

Slight disappointment that Pipp didn't show up somewhere in the story and use her phone to record or stream the alicorn princesses, Spike, and Discord.
Twilight's reaction to Equestrian cell phones in the future would have been a funner pay off for Twilight's earlier line to Sunset on how Equestria doesn't need cell phones and advanced electronics.
