This was meant to be another possible ending to TJHoofers Fun Story "Get Him!" I suggest you read that one first before this one.
What if Alex disappeared and never got caught during the First Ever Human Hunt? How did he do it?
I am not a writer. I am an illustrator and artist. This is my first attempt at a fan fic I've had mulling around in my head for some months. Chapters aren't that long, but I remember something my English teacher taught me many years ago. "Write to express, NOT to impress."
I'm just testing the waters to see if there would be any interest in me continuing.
Currently I have the first six chapters done. I wrote them in three days totaling about 24 hours.

A little side note. John Chapman aka Johnny Appleseed was, in fact, a real person and I am a decendant of him. That being said, I just couldn't resist putting him in here. It seemed to fit so well for the Applejack part of this letter.

There will be reconciliation eventually. I am drawing inspiration from enemy soldiers during WW2 and when they get to meet face to face many years later and they become life long friends. My grandfather was a WW2 veteran. This is also why I put the word "NUTS" in the nightmare sequence. (Look up the battle of the Ardennes Forest)
There has to be forgiveness. But trust has to be regained too. Luna is going carefully to try to right the wrongs she has done. To continually hate, it will eventually consume you. Alex doesnt hate them. He just doesnt trust them...................yet.

Imagine how the Mane 6 would react to seeing Alex's nightmare. Probably in a similar manner to Luna and Celestia in my opinion.
i dont think alex is obivious enought to disregared his fire and blaket being diffrent so he will likely know he has been seen and may set up some new traps

Samples of my work you ask!!?? SHEESH where do I begin!! Drawing, painting, sculpting, model making, miniatures, computer modeling, woodworking. That is all me. 3 College degrees and an insatiable curiousness to learn new things to add to my artistic skills. I have worked for Disney Worlds Animation Tour, Done 3D modeling and animation for the militarys combat flight simulators, done ww2 aircraft paintings for a local air museum, play in the SCA (a medieval reenactment group in which I do wood working AND also sword fight.) And I have also done some cosplaying. I am trying to put together a youtube channel here in the near future too!

So despite what happened they don't have the slightest idea he might be having night terrors of them, and what they'd do to both him and the rest of humanity? Figures.
Something I've been wondering, since the story had a two year timeskip how did it affect the events of canon? Because the EoH trying to enslave and abuse someone for fun and making to effort to hide it seems like it would utterly sabotage Equestria having friendly relationships with any other species on the planet.

I don't think so. Personally I think they only way they could redeem themselves is to proclaim that none of the EoH should ever be allowed near him, that all of the things they planned to do to him are made illegal to do for any and all species, and that any and all "Hunts" of a similar nature are likewise illegal. In doing that they'd redeem themselves by making sure those who hurt him leave him alone and that it can never happen to anyone ever again, all without trying to make it to their benefit.
Giving that kind of reverence and respect to them after what they did is outright stupidity. They've done nothing to deserve it and there is no reason to believe they do.
Why he's been for Ed to live so miserably in the wilderness is simply because of the example the EoH and princesses set, because to them he can't live among ponies due to fear they'll enslave him, or that one of the EoH will come to "claim" him.
If anything he should be given the chance to move out of the country entirely.
I really don't like where this is going. It seems like they aren't really helping him, just trying to get him to love them so they can feel better instead of actually dealing with the cause of his nightmares: living in constant fear of ponies enslaving him with the princesses' open approval.

Good point. I mean, a part of me still want the ponies to go f*** them themselves, and get trashed talked by every non-pony kingdoms in existence for torturing a non-pony being ( Human ). And possibly be threatened by WAR by the other non-pony kingdoms too, and cut diplomatic ties for a long ass time.
And actually give our poor human ( Alex ) sanctuary from the pony racist/xenophobic jerks!
In fact, I actually want it to happened! Because, that could be realistic in the real world, and moral standpoint.
Seems to me they're trying to get him to love them so they can assuage their guilty consciences, not help him. Their goal here is obviously to make him their "friend", again trying to have him for themselves.
