Season 3 Twilight said it's impossible, but Season 3 Twilight also found out that Season 1 Twilight was wrong about curses not existing and the inciting incident of It's About Time was as much Twilight wasting her own future self's time by refusing to believe that that's what was going on as it was the time travel itself. I can feel comfortable saying she's wrong about that, but also imagine a downvote from someone who's deluded enough to think canon is coherent.

How nice. The heroes play a Uno Reverse card on the villain and turn his attempt at ruining something beautiful into a way for ponies to safely express who they are inside.
Honestly, this encapsulates an argument that I've had with friends that don't understand that just because someone's attracted to one or more sexes, that doesn't mean they're inherently the opposite one and just in the wrong body. I've got plenty of LGBTQ+ friends who are proudly and happily the same sex and gender, just like I happily consider myself neither (I prefer they/them pronouns). Saying to them that "well, you're just in the wrong body, you need to be fixed" is so callous and close minded.

Honestly, the idea of Equestria possessing advanced transformation magic capable of switching someone's gender makes far more sense than the notion of surgery and hormone therapy. The show canonized magic that can change a character's species, something as base as gender should just be a hop, skip, and jump back from that.

Yes! It is one of the more obscure variations on the Pride Flag. It isn't the only "questioning" flag (EDIT: for people who are still working out what their own orientations and gender situations are) but it's one of them.
Why do people hate this? I think this is a good story.

I use the adjective "pleathery" in several stories. I figure since pleather is designed to look like softened hide, it might be a thing there so it seems more realistic to refer to the fake stuff as though it were the default.
