is this a remake of A Professor and his Students or An Alternate Route ??

Huh, figured me out, did you?

Yeah, it's a sort-of rewrite/sort of sequel to An Alternate Route. But it's reworked to avoid copying another writer's series of stories.

awesome chapter mate keep it up cant wait for the next chapter:pinkiehappy::twilightsmile:

I really enjoyed this chapter as it had so much history and I love learning about things that catch my interest such as military history and especially automotive history as in real life I'm a HUGE gearhead.

Introverts tend to have a lot of pent-up energy that they need to release. While introversion is not an indicator of intelligence for additional information go to the given link introvert in college in this link introvert can mean that you are more likely to struggle with socializing in college compared to other people Introversion is different than shyness which is more related to an unwillingness to engage in social situations.

Glad to see this updated again! Great job with this chapter

This is an intriguing idea! You're bringing up some interesting philosophical points. One quibble I have is that you are representing this chapter as covering an entire 40-minute lecture, when I read it in less than 10. If there was any verbiage implying a time skip, I apologize for missing it. I should also point out that "Silver Mane" asked twice whether Professor Laurens knew Professor Roux - once at the beginning of their conversation and once at the end.

Oops, sorry. :twilightoops: Yeah, I'll look into that.

This is definitely an interesting idea, I'm curious on where it will go.

I love picking apart olde-speake. I hope you don't mind...

Greetings. We miss thee badly, and hope ye will return to us with all due haste when thine mission is complete.

We hope thou wilt return to Us with all due haste when thy mission is complete.

We wish we could speak face to face, and not by letter; no paper or ink can express how much We miss ye, nor of our anxiety and fears deep down for the survival of Our people.... Regardless, we hope your mission goes well. We shall write again as the situation permits. May whatever divine authorities exist be with you.

No paper or ink can express how much We miss thee... (And if it wasn't a deliberate stylistic choice in the last line:) Regardless, we hope thy mission goes well.... May whatever divine authorities exist be with thee.

In general:

  • You (subject, singular) --> Thou
  • You (subject, plural) --> You (I believe the plural terms stay the same most of the time)
  • You (object) --> Thee
  • Your (possessive adjective) --> Thy
  • Yours (possessive pronoun) --> Thine

This chapter was pretty exposition-heavy, but the story in general I am enjoying. Thank you for turning out quality work!

Will Neighsay, the EEA and the consequences of the School of Friendship shutdown be mentioned?

Surprised you didn't use UMO since it has a agriculture unit present, though the fact she's in my state is nice.

the latter are skeptical of humanity's past.

And this is how TCB stories always start. Ponies see humanity's past, and... Well. You've been on this site long enough to have seen what results I'd hope.

Story's turning out good. I do home this doesn't become just another boring TCB story.

No, it will not become that. And thanks.
