Princess Celestia, ruler of all Equestria, is a giving creature. She gives of her time, her talents, her love. In return, Celestia asks for one night a year for herself, in which she remembers the terrible night when the world came to an end.

An exaggeration? Not to Celestia.

This story sounds like it needs a tragedy tag. Why isn't there one?

As a great fan of Celestia, I could read this kind of story everyday. The time in which the action takes place means that we are dealing here with pure melancholy. Celestia is reconciled with failure and with her (not obvious and probably exaggerated) guilt. In other hand it's too soon to make more action to change her sister back. The second part is just pure joy. The music is also nice touch. Overall, very emotional and good story. Short, but with great "soul".

What would be interesting is the time exactly after the banishment, when Celestia is probably confused and her ideals are very weak. Maybe one controversial and personal opinion - I would like to see story where pranks are not so great. They can do much more harm than help (especially without good context and talk). In story Celestia mentioned pranks two times. Maybe some twist where this pranks made relationship between sisters worse?
