I make both fanart and fanfic. I draw all my cover images myself, and I take art and writing commissions!

Celestia has forgiven her sister for her crimes as Nightmare Moon. But Luna remains unreachable and distant as the moon itself. Celestia wants nothing more than to celebrate Hearth’s Warming with her little sister, and Twilight’s latest friendship report has given her an idea.

This was a very good story, I really enjoyed seeing Luna interacting with the bat ponies and learning they were happy to be in her presence. :)

It's always so nice to see Celestia and Luna together again. Happy hearthswarming to everyone!

Shasssssss!
This was super sweet! I love what you did with the prompt! Bringing Luna into it, as you did, was a lovely move and really hammered home the early-series setting I love so much.
Your prose, as usual, was top notch. You create a scene very well, with a good amount of lovely phrasing and gorgeous imagery. Pieces by you feel very organic, very living. Your pacing was excellent too, I was consistently engaged until the end and the pace at which you drove the plot was integral to this. The plot was great as well, I love Celestia's solution to Luna's feelings of distance, it was a wonderful gesture of understanding that really highlights all of Celestia's best qualities.
All in all, this was amazing! Thank you so much for the effort you put into this story. A piece from you is always something to get excited about, and this was no exception.
And, as an additional note, the coverart is beautiful. Your style lends itself really well to the festive spirit. It's a really wonderful companion piece to the story :)

Okay, overall I do like the story a lot, but I'm more than a little confused about the timeline. This seems to suggest that this is the first time Luna's met with any batponies in the modern age and pretty much the first time she's socialized at all, which would place the story before Luna's first Nightmare Night... except you say that she's been isolated for months, while (assuming they're close in date to their real life counterparts) Nightmare Night and Hearth's Warming are less than two months apart.

But, okay, maybe that wasn't Luna's first Nightmare Night back from exile, just the first one she actually attended. And this does mean that Twilight's first Hearth's Warming wasn't the one we first saw, but she had one beforehand - again, not impossible, just not what one might think at first.

But then she refers to Shining being up in the Crystal Empire, something that happened much later than that Nightmare Night and I'm just kind of baffled.

Still, like the story overall, just found that confusing.
