This looks interesting! I'll be back in the morning to read this.
I have to say, this DOES look like a pretty entertaining contrast to the canon first couple of episodes. REALLY enjoyed the interactions between Twilight and Moondancer as well the first meetings with Sweetie Belle (and, yeah, doesn't surprise me that Cinch is that strict) and Sunburst. Interesting to see a universe where Twilight is the more laid-back out of her and Spike. And, yeah, Shining being a jokester off the job is an entertaining thought, as was Spike managing to get one on him. And that's a good alteration to Daybreaker's scheme to have the eternal day be a form of extortion.
I'm going to guess that Twilight is still going to be Magic, Moondancer is probably going to be Honesty, Sunburst is most likely Kindness and Shining Armor is almost certainly Laughter.
All in all, an enjoyable first (couple of) chapter(s) with some great exchanges and future chapter set-up.

REALLY good job on this latest chapter. It might have taken a while, but was certainly worth the wait. Loved the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Loved how Luna had sent those "dream messages" to not only Twilight, but also Moonie, Shining, Sunburst, Spike and Sweetie Belle, plus how Twilight pieced together the meaning of those dream messages. And, yeah, we met two of this universe's versions of the canon Mane Six (Applejack and Rarity) as well as this universe's versions of AJ's family. I also enjoyed how, instead of Twilight, it was Moondancer who was surprised by the book on the Elements being placed under "'E'". And, now, this universe's future main six has officially begun their adventure.
I am greatly looking forward to seeing this universe's spins on the "Element trials".

Wonderful work on the last chapter of this first arc. Yeah, I can understand the need to go on hiatus for a while. After all, between real world schedules and thinking time, I certainly can respect the need for patience. At any rate, wonderful work on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Excellent work on the alterations to the "Element trials" (especially with Spike showing his stuff in helping out his friends before they found out Rainbow and her crew were under mind control, the cameo by Arizona and her dad during Sunburst's trial and Moondancer pushing Twilight with the right mix of brutal honesty and acknowledgement that she DOES have the heart and courage to do more).
