"Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see the shadow. It's what sunflowers do." -Helen Keller

T

After Twilight and her friends blasted Sunset Shimmer with The Elements of Harmony, they did not expect this side effect. Sunset Shimmer was found unconscious at the bottom of the crater. What’s even more peculiar is that she is now a child. She does not remember anything before her current age, nor why she has scaring on her back.

Twilight now has to unlock the mystery to why the former bully was converted to that age, and why there seems to be painful black veins branching across her back.

This story is inspired by fmriver’s story: Sunset’s Second Round of Childhood

Very interesting I will love to read more:raritystarry:

What movie/TV show is the girl in the picture from?

I searched up an image of a child and she came up. I just edited it to try to make it look like Sunset. I hope that answers your question.

I love it! Keep up the good work!!

Sunset has scars in this au

Carduus Krodolf: I wonder how the sirens will fall this time around.

Sorentis: Get out of here Carduus this account has my name currently!

Carduus: Alright alright sheesh.

Sorentis: I am interested in what sunset is going to do this time around.

Okay, tell me where her parents are so I can introduce them to the business end of my favorite baseball bat.

i think your going to fast

Clearly Sunset was abused horribly when she was a foal. The question is why did the magic revert her back to a child and how did this abuse shape her into the power abscessed bully she was.

Thank you for the advise! I hope these next chapters go at a slower pace for you.

When the employee came back with their order, the group immediately dug into their pies.

Should it be pizzas instead of pies?

Ah! Yes! Thank you for pointing that out!

I feel so sorry for Sunset having to grow up with such terrible parents who treated very horribly instead of giving her the love and attention she deserved.

“She wasn’t raised them. She was raised by our mentor, Princess Celestia.”

Shouldn't it be She wasn't raised by them?

The more I read the more I think that giving Sunset's "parents" Scaphism treatment is too inadequate. Sadly it is best one i know. Maybe isolation combined with total sensory deprivation would work better... I don't know.
I just really want to see them hurt.

Either way. Story looks good. Please, keep it up.

The only reason I think that Sunset’s uh, caretakers treated her like that would have to be because they consider Sunset as their ticket to nobility- an unwanted accident who in their eyes, was lucky to be born.

Poor Sunset, no child should ever have to endure what she had.

Child abuse on that level... No child should have to experience that.

I have a theory of what the black veins on Sunset's back are from, the black veins are from her she-demon side.

Hmm... interesting... :trixieshiftright:

I've been thinking since i read the last few chapters. Those scars on her back became worse when the voices started, could the scars be cursed in some way to never really heal at least the ones on the back.

Yeah those scars on her back are defiantly a side effect of some kind of hex/curse.

Seeing the girl’s struggle, Twilight entended her purple arms towards the girl, “Do you want me to carry you so that you can see the flavors?”

I noticed this while reading, I believe it should be extended instead of extended. Love the story so far by the way and I look forward to reading more.

Fixed it! Thank you!
I’m glad that you are liking the story so far! I also can’t wait to see more of your story!

You're welcome. Which one have you read? I currently have two stories. I'm working on the forged in fire one right now.

The fiery haired girl gripped Twilight’s hand a little tighter as they passed instruction workers working on the giant crater at the front of the school.

Construction workers, though it's an interesting thought to have instruction workers.

:rainbowlaugh: Oh my. That’s what I get for writing at two in the morning on my phone. :facehoof:

I’ve read (and re-read) The Price of Wanting! :pinkiehappy: Hmm. That’s odd. For me, that’s the only story you have in your account.

GILDA! DUST! YOU BETTER STAY AWAY FROM SUNNY!!!

Do you understand that some chapters have to be short but definitely look forward to reading more I feel bad for poor little sunset just want to give her a big old hug

Lighting Dust and Gilda are going to pay if anything happens to Sunset! :twilightangry2::flutterrage:

I seriously enjoy your story and definitely makes it interesting where you're going with the sunset having lightning come back.

Aw thanks! It really means a lot to me that you’re enjoying the story.

If Gilda is the one with sunny at the start of next chapter I’m gonna sick silver spark on her to save sunset:twilightangry2:

Dude, if what the other comments are saying happens then please note that I personally will murder those two if something happens to Sunset.

Personally I’d say heck yes enable the ratings. You’ll get only likes from me.

Another excellent chapter I enjoyed that I'm hoping that Gilda gets some more payback because even if you're in a situation where the person was a formal bully she is currently a 6-year-old kid you don't mess with a 6-year-old kid period. Look forward to the next one.

I quite enjoyed that chapter I'm glad that lightning dust and Gilda got cut and are facing consequences interesting the idea that Sunset has shown a small piece of her older self by stealing though unintentionally I think but it'll be interesting to see where things go looking forward to the next chapter

Matilda? I wouldn't condone stealing, bur Sunset's a young girl who doesn't know better and the book is really good.
