Nice, short and wholesome.

Another sweet read from a sweeter gal. :raritywink:

This almost feels like one of those 'Pass it On' commercials or at least a concept. In this case, a cop goes to investigate a supposedly criminal only to find out how petty the criminal turns out to be as they are really homeless. But rather than taking them in and seeing as how this criminal don't look as if they could harm anyone, the cop decides to 'pass along' some kindess.

I should definitely say that this makes for quite a wholesome story. As a matter of fact, it has indeed been quite a long time since I've seen this pony since the 'Princess Spike' controversy.

Yeah she's a charming pony.

Well, I had a kid once steal money out of my purse.

She seemed really remorseful when I caught her, said that she and her mom were just hungry and she wasn't sure what to do.

I ended up giving her $60 , sometimes people just have a bad run of luck, doing wrong things doesn't make you bad.

Sometimes you just need a show of kindness.

Did you have her promise that if she accepts the money that she would use it wisely? That she is taking the money to help not only herself, but her mother? Because someday, if that kid is truly grateful, she might want to repay you in some form.

I didn't have her promise, I told her to help out herself and her mother though.

I took it on faith that she hopefully used it to help out her family,if she ever wanted to repay ne, I'd just hope she would help out another in need someday.

One can only hope so as well. We have to have some hope that despite our struggles, they have not deterred from the humanity inside that makes us special. If we are lucky, that same girl has used the money to do something special for her family. And perhaps over time, perhaps fortune is in their favor. Perhaps not in a 'literal' sense, but at least out of such an act of kindness they hope to do the same unto others.

If that happened, I'd be overjoyed.

I pray she and her family are still Okies.

Perhaps if she ever saw this story and how in a way it resembled that encounter you had, then she will remember the kind young woman who helped her despite the fact that she robbed that same woman in an act of desperation. That in a way, it will show that you never forgot her and that you displayed how your example was carried out through another story.

Yeah, I was working at a Movie Store.

I'd sit behind the counter up front, she saw my purse was open near the computer.

She asked if I could help her get a movie off the high shelf in the back, usually I was in charge of getting them off our ridiculously big shelves. I said sure and began to go back, on my way existing the back counter, I noticed we had a copy of said movie in the back with me, I grabbed it and caught her just holding my money and my purse.

She didn't try to run, she just put it back and began crying.

Said she came in to steal some candy , sodas, etc we kept up front, but saw that I left my purse basically in the open.

We chatted, she said she and her mother was hungry.

She had walked over, I just felt really bad?

Told her, things would get better.

That I wasn't mad, then I offered her money.

Hoping she could get herself and mother, something decent to eat.

Well, it sounds to me that she wasn't a mean girl by any means. Judging based on the depiction, it seemed she truly was a desperate girl just trying to survive and didn't mean to hurt anyone. At least, I sincerely hope that's the case. I do hope things work out for the child.

But, Fargo Horse is North Dakotan.
