I like rarepairing, it's a challenge for me. I actually intended to write Redheart and Aria as a couple in the epilogue but opted not to in favor of saving it for the sequel (which at the time I wasn't even sure I'd be writing.)

I'm sold on the ship. I'm really not that interested in romance in fiction but their relationship is really unusual and you manage to explain how and why really well so it's interesting to even me. I love your Nurse Redheart and she's an unusual main character so I'm sold.
Also, Sunset Shimmer has dream powers still! Maybe she did at the end of the original fic but I've forgotten that. I'm definitely going to have to reread it before I get to Midnight. I'm eager to know when when the editing is done so I can do that!

I do my best not to write any particular genre, but rather to just write 'stories'. I want to write characters that people relate to, relationships that are believable, and struggles that people can understand. Redheart was a lot of fun to write because she's older, and rather than write an older character as just a 'mentor' figure, I wanted to give people the insight that getting older can be scary.
Redheart has a lot of insecurities and foibles. She's proud, vain, stubborn, and borderline belligerent, but she's also lonely, tired, and worn out. I've been looking forward to writing this version of her for some time, so I'm glad it came out well.
And yeah, Sunset still has her Dream Demon powers, lol. There will be a lot of expansion on that stuff in Dead by Midnight once it comes out.

Practice. Practice. Practice. I do my best to write a thousand words a day at least, even despite my full-time job, because writing is what I love to do, and I always try to get better at it.

Anywaysss... Great Chapter. I’m glad to see everyone’s happy and living normal (as normal as you can get with magic, entities, and parallel universes) lives.
I am somewhat upset that we never see what happens to the entity’s new survivors and Wallflower, but I can live with it. Maybe there will be a follow-up.
Once again, happy to see this continue anyways, with a happy ending too. Really felt similar to the Rules series with the romance, which is a nice change from the gore and brutal sacrifices.
Ok, that’s it. I’m done.
Huh. I actually didn’t notice that this isn’t Dead by Midnight. Pretty sure i just saw sequel to DBS and was like, “YES!” Anyways, this was a nice read and it’s great to see it set up the next story. Can’t wait to see it.

This is just one of what is going to be a short series of interquels between Dead by Sunset and Dead by Midnight. I’m just going to be writing some short stories inbetween my other stuff.
I’m on a pretty massive kick for this continuity right now though, lol.

So Sunset still has her Freddy's powers, very nice touch. And it looks like entity or whatever it is now starts to seep into the real world more than before.
