Shining armour gets transported into the past of the crystal empire with no idea how or who sent him. Gaps in his memories fill his mind as he tries to solve the mystery while also learning a lot about the crystal empire and Equestria's history. Not everything is as it seems and shining will have to make some difficult choices before he can get back to his own time

You keep changing perspective between third and first person.
It's giving me whiplash as you go from "I did a thing" to "A thing happened to her" and gah. That is the biggest issue this story has, It's not sure if it's someone telling you a story, or the character telling you the story, and it just ends up disorientating.

sypnosis says shining armor, but read the first chapter and its rule 63 shining armor aka Gleaming shield. This confuses me more than the actual chapter.
Later when Discord showed up, everything suddenly made sense. Also a strange urge to ship Gleaming shield and Sombra for some reason.

very true pride has always been a major downfall for Discord and self confidance issues if you look at his track record. in season 2 he though he won and didn't even think there was a chance Twilight could fix the damage he had done to her friends and got caught with his metaphorical pants down, in season 3 he fails again when he tries to twist the spirit of the rules he has been given. in season 4 he litterlay is unable to fathom that he could be betrayed, in all honesty i think he knew that Tirek would betray him and that his temporary fall back into villany was just him teaching twilight in his own unique way just that he was unable to see an outcome where tirek to outfox or overpower him if things got out of hand. There is also the time he literally pretended to have a fake illness just to make sure that Twilight was actually his friend. The last and best example of this is his actions in season 9 with the villain team up as his final test for twilight and her friends in which he literaly was unable to figure out that they had outfoxed him using the power of teamwork and friendship without actually becoming good creature in discords mind he most likely saw 2 outcomes they attack the coronation and the main 6 come out victorious and secure in their position or the villians reform themselves as they learn the magic of friendship . that is actually another big failure of Discords that he rarely has a plan B when he really should
there's a specfic superpower related to that, forgot the name of it, think it was omni-awareness. It lets you know about events from anywhere including time and space that involves you without infecting you.
an example would be 'reading steiner' from stein's gate.
