That's what they're doing.
They wrote this story the way it is because theyre an idiot kid whose only knowledge of the disorder is media that portrays all of them as violent. So idiot kids like this believe all schizophrenics are violent. So they write things like this, other idiot kids come away from it and internalize this offensive portrayal of schizophrenia is faithful.
It's a part in a series of offensive media portrayals. All blacks in media are thugs, to the point where people flipped shit at the idea of Idris Elba playing 007. All Southerners are racist homophobic rednecks. All neurodivergents are either weird and played off as a joke or violent.

Fact of the matter is: ITS ONE FUCKIN CHARACTER, THEY REPRESENT THEMSELVES! Just because you aren't like it and they might be biased doesn't make the story inherently worse. I have Aspergers otherwise know as social anxiety disorder. I don't do well in large groups but it don't mean I hate people. just because it misrepresents you does not mean it ain't possibly true.

This story isn’t bad, but neither the schizophrenia nor the romance seem to have a point in the end. The best thing to do for this story is to flesh it out more, give the ponies more character. Maybe add a few more moments of schizophrenia for Dashie and romance for Redheart. Basically what I’m saying is, I think the story could really benefit if it was expanded upon more.

This story is adapted from a real-life experience. My schizophrenic friend tried to do stuff and died in the end. I dont wanna go into more details.
believe me, I didn't, I did loads of research. This story shows Rainbow having extreme schizophrenia, thus having to get hospitalised.
If you really want me to, I can take this story down to make you feel better. I understand how you feel. I have ADHD and people are always stereotyping me as unattentive and impulsive, when most of the time I can control my urges.
