Great job on the start of this sequel. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done in all the right places. Yeah, nobody can deny that the Storm King definitely deserved what Spike did to him, but it IS a really intriguing detail concerning Spike's guilt about doing it, even considering what the Storm King did to him and others. And that nightmare? Yeowch. Still hoping that Spike patches things up with Ember and Calaeno in this story. And Cozy Glow? That makes an already bad feeling even worse (though, hopefully, Spike's experience with the dark side and using charm to sucker somebody in [even if he felt terrible about it] will make him much more cautious and suspicious about Cozy and able to help stop her BEFORE she is in a position to become a serious threat).

Anyway, very definitely looking forward to more of this.

I accidentally published an unfinished chapter, I’ll be done with it soon

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in this latest chapter. So Spike has met Cozy for the first time and is slightly unnerved by her (though, unfortunately NOT Properly Paranoid enough to avoid letting her read any of the Storm King's journal). Though, I have to admit, it IS a good notion to have a museum devoted to some of the villains that came particularly close to victory, if only to inspire the ponies to stay on the alert. And the stuff about Spike having his own secret room until Tempest got her own airship was a pretty logical detail too.

Well, anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to more of this story.

So, Grubber made a mistake, but the Storm king let him off A LOT more lightly than he would have ever let Spike off? Yeah, I can see where Spike would be confused (heck, I'M confused by that). And, yeah, I have to grudgingly give Cozy credit; the "fake comforting" bit was a clever touch (if I didn't already know what kind of a pony Cozy is, I MIGHT have actually been fooled myself). Still, Spike should be MUCH more careful around Cozy, especially since SHE is using HIS old tricks (which he might not be proud of, but should still be able to spot).

But, anyway, the exchanges (both in the journal flashback AND in the "present day"), characterizations and future chapter set-up are quite well done.

When will the next chapter coming out soon

Again, really good job on the latest chapter. Took a while, but was definitely worth the wait. Love the work that went into the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Really good spin on THIS version of Spike's going through "the Molt". Yeah, I could see where he would initially think this was the Storm King punishing him from beyond and that flashback was quite nerve-wracking. I wouldn't be surprised if Tempest and Twilight eventually mention that they had to fight off a roc a few times.

At any rate, I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this.

Don't trust Cozy Glow.

Great job on this latest chapter. Wonderful job, of course, on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. While I am admittedly still inwardly screaming at Spike for trusting Cozy Glow, I otherwise enjoyed this chapter. Particularly the apology gifts to Ember and Thorax. As well as the reactions to said apology gifts.

Definitely looking forward to the next stop on the apology tour as well as more of the story in general.

Great job on this latest chapter. The exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are all well done in all the right places. And, yeah, Spike working so hard on his apology gifts and trying to help others that he has gone into "Applejack in Apple Buck Season" mode. I can definitely understand his issues here, but I don't blame Tempest for being worried either.

At any rate, I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this.

Wait I thought this was cancelled?

Well, it looks like the author decided to UN-cancel it, which I don't really mind. Of course, I hope the author manages to get the time and inspiration to un-cancel a few more of the unfinished stories on this site.

Still, a little at a time is still good.

Hey there. Looks like you got enough inspiration to continue this story after all, which I really appreciate. Anyway, really good job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Yeah, Cozy paid Spike a visit after Tempest grounded him for his own good. And, it looks like Cozy "slipped him a Mickey" in old school private eye lingo. And you SHOULD tell them about Cozy, Spike. I don't know why Cozy felt the need to drug you, but it's clear it's got something to do with her big plan.

Anyway, certainly looking forward to more of this.

Hey there. Really good job on the exchange and characterizations in this latest chapter. Yeah, Spike caught on to Cozy being a spy (sort of), but still underestimates how bad she actually is. But then, that just illustrates the key difference between Spike (in this universe) and Cozy - while Spike definitely did things that he was NOT proud of when he was working for the Storm King, he still had those he was genuinely loyal to and genuinely regretted the nastier things he was made to do. Cozy, meanwhile, isn't loyal to anybody but herself and doesn't regret any of the things she does.

But, anyway, really looking forward to more of this.

I'm loving Cozy Glow's characterization so far. But poor Spike. Far too trusting for his own good.:ajsleepy:

Chess piece: Rook to E3

Ouch! Poor Spike!:fluttershbad: Something tells me this isn't going to be the end of it though. Not by a long shot.:fluttershyouch:

Whoa. This was some downright emotional reflection on Spike's part. But, yeah, I could see where Storm King would be that furious about Spike messing up his missions that often (and catching on that Spike was doing it on purpose). And even though Spike doesn't know why Cozy wants that journal so badly, he DOES know that she wants it badly enough that giving it to her is a very bad idea. Unfortunately, I doubt that burying the journal is going to do much good. But I DID appreciate Spike curling up to Tempest, even with the acknowledgement of how embarrassing it is.

Anyway, the exchanges (in the flashback), characterizations and future chapter set-up are well done and I'm definitely looking forward to more of this.

Good story, hope to see it continue!
