I like this. I feel like RGRE need to either be done properly - not the hypersexual dream-scenarios, but an actual flip of gender roles and behaviours and the shift in perspective that comes with that - or to have more subversion and deconstruction. I see some of the latter here, and it's nice.

This chapter is all about a dude who is considering dick-reduction surgery so that he can have more sex. This is because 3 mares desperately wanted to fuck him within an hour of meeting him and immediately propositioned to a strange alien they just met. An entire plot arc is him almost being date-raped via magical roofies. On top of all that, the story protagonist has literally been described as average in every way with his only defining feature being "big dong".
The doctor refused to do the procedure because she thought his penis was too perfect; you know, like all those male doctors in real life who refuse to perform cosmetic surgery on vaginas because "they're already perfect".
Were you being sarcastic when you wrote your comment? Because I'm seeing the exact opposite of what you just said. This story is nothing but "my dick is too big for sex and I'm upset that mares want to fuck me, and also sometimes they call me sugardick and tell me to get back in the kitchen".

Hoo boy. Such a lot of words wasted on a throwaway three-sentence statement, all born of a failure to actually comprehend what you've read. That's fine. I'm happy to help you understand why it's important to read the words that are written as opposed to the words you think are there.
A simple statement. Not much to say here, except that autocorrect strikes again.
I can see where this statement would trip you up. It's got hyphens. But, let's just summarise all those words and make it simple: "I think [genre] should either be A - (decription of what "A" shouldn't be) - or B." This sentence doesn't state that I think this story is an embodiment of either A or B. It just states what I think [genre] should be.
And here I state which of the two options I think the story embodies: the latter. "Latter" is just a way of saying "later", and is opposed to "Former". Which is to say, I only think the second part of the previous statement, the "B", is the one that applies. I clarify this, because I get the feeling that you might not be aware what those two words mean. If you had, you wouldn't have mentioned the first part, because it is irrelevant.
And I also put a qualifier of "some" in there. Which would mean that I don't think the work as a whole embodies what I'd want, but that some of it did. And I liked that it did.
I'll be honest: I don't think I'm ever going to see what I'd call a good RGRE story. That doesn't mean I shouldn't appreciate the little bits of promise I see.
But, since you brought it up and it doesn't seem like you've really given much thought about it: contrary to what porn and hentai would have you believe, bigger isn't always better. If you've got sensitive bits that aren't big enough or can't/haven't trained to stretch to fit, chances are that some asshole with more size than sensitivity trying to get inside you is going to tear those sensitive bits. It wouldn't be fun or sexy. Blood and agony would be involved, and most assuredly a trip to the doctor and maybe the ER. And you don't even need to be exceptionally large in order to really hurt someone.
Further, contrary to what sci-fi, fantasy and furries would have us believe, it isn't a given that every "Tab A" is compatible with any "Slot B", which would bring us right back to the previous concern. I've never really devoted much thought to the mechanics of horse-sex, but if someone told me that the physics of it were different from that of human sex, I'd be prepared to believe it. I still wouldn't care, but I'd believe it.
Lastly, while handies and BJs are wonderful, there is an appreciable difference between them and, y'know, going that final mile. Wanting to also have that isn't unreasonable.
So no, having a penis modified in shape or size in order to have sex with a different species of a different size isn't as outlandish idea as you seem to think it is. In this case, I'd say that it is exactly as sensible as a woman asking for her sexual organs modified. Me saying this does not imply that women seeking similar procedures are to be trivialized. If anything, I'm saying that the male doctors are exactly as ridiculous are the mare doctor. And, because I get the feeling that you'd bring it up: no, I don't think men who try to get their penises enlarged should be equated to women who'd like to have more comfortable insertions or ease birth or whatever they need to live a more comfortable life. I'm saying that in this specific case, there is room for comparison.
And now I'm done with this discussion.
