Just a guy who found out that a show about talking ponies is a lot better than I expected.

Sunburst has a pretty relaxing life. Serving as Vice Principal at the School of Friendship is a good job, and he's happy with it.
Too bad something had to come and interrupt it.
The spirit of the Tree of Harmony sends Sunburst to Griffonstone, where he finds an ancient legend that must be uncovered, alongside an unexpected ally.

"And without my physical form, the Cutie Map no longer functions."

Yeah, you'd think she'd have fixed that by now... :applejackunsure:

Having become Vice Principal at the School of Friendship, Stellar Flare had backed off on trying to advance her son's career.

The way this is worded makes it sound like Stellar Flare is vice principal. I'd suggest changing the beginning of this sentence to "After he became".

Also, was it ever mentioned in-show that the Cutie Map stopped working? Because come to think of it, there were no map episodes in season 9.

Not in-show specifically, (though I think it's vaguely implied), but I know the show's staff have said this was the case.

Sunburst looked at Grapple, who was too busy playing with his new toy to pay them any attention. "Well, there is one spell that should do it. Even with the Spear, I don't think there's anything that he could do to counter it."

"I sense a 'but' coming on."

"You two will have to distract him while I power up the spell."

Gilda shrugged. "That sounds possible-"

"For five minutes. And considering exactly how much power is inside that thing...well, just do your best."

I was hoping someone would get that!

You could have Trenderhoof write a column about the adventure. It might give Griffonstone some attention. Even without his involvement, this story is great.
