It made me laugh that Eyepatch was a pegasus, then a unicorn, then a pegasus again, then an earth pony.
My conclusion is that she must be some kind of shapeshifter, since everyone knows that there's only 5 alicorns in Equestria.
This was an absolute delight. Particularly Beardy Bellhat.

Some alicorns are alicorns of celestial bodies, some are alicorns of abstract concepts like "love." Eyepatch gets to be the alicorn of nopony realizing she's an alicorn including herself. It's pretty niche, but she would be proud if she were ever able to notice it.

It's not bad... but Rhapsody comes off as insufferable and kinda dumb. I did like Plainity and Eyepatch.

In any case, brilliant way to work sirens into Equestria's manual-override ecology, And the inevitable effects of breathing new life and exciting ideas into the ocean currents. Plus the tale of the Dazzlings from a siren perspective was a delight, to say nothing of the brilliance of making Plainity and Eyepatch (who, I cannot enpahsize this enough, has an eyepatch) actual ponies who are literally identical to Rarity and Twilight.
All told, great fun from start to finish. Thank you for it, and best of luck in the judging.
Eyepatch is a Quantum Indeterminate Pony. She keeps a patch over her cutie mark so that nobody can see it and collapse her into the state of definitely being an Earth Pony, Pegasus or Unicorn (or possibly violently explode).
I had quite a few chuckles. Nicely done. There’s also a sea pony tag if you wanted to try and use that one for the sirens, though I do like your depiction of them as a different species.
This was great. It inspired me to think up some Plainity ideas myself.
