Excellent little story on a topic I feel gets neglected. The dialogue was on point and Rarity's excuses got a chuckle from me.
Rarity seems a bit too sage though to be "tricked". As she pointed out, addictions are more like itches being scratched. That said, I think a follow up about overcoming her addiction would be enjoyable.
I love this, and it would be nice if there were some sequels, like where we see them talking to Applejack, Flim and Flam give a refund (or something like that), and she even could make a bisiness for saving money,

Rarity being a hoarder of stuff kinda reminds me of my own dad and the many times my family scolded him for spending on junk. This felt spot on to the issue addressed here.
I love how you portray the relationship of Sweetie and Rarity. Nicely done. You really showcase the love they have for one another even to the end.
Though the fact that the store being run by FlimFlam felt a little tact on at the end. That did not stop my enjoyment of this.

This is a great fic! I've had this general idea in my head for a long time and it's awesome to see it had already been written so well! I mean, this does feel a lot like the opening half of an MLP episode where Rarity and Applejack face up against Flim and Flam's schemes once again.
