Epilogue: “Shared Fate”

Over three hundred years later Celestia walked into the dungeon beneath the Canterlot castle. She slowly made her way to the cell that so long ago Dr. Aden had been sentenced to a lifetime of imprisonment. She stared into the cell with cold eyes and after a moment spoke. “Aden, you have a visitor.”

Inside the cell Dr. Aden sat, looking no more different than the day he had first been put in this cell, but still somehow anyone could sense how old he was by the look in his eyes. He slowly looked up and met Celestia's cold gaze with eyes that would make anyone who had not lived for at least several hundred years shudder, and said “who could possibly want to see little old me?”

Just then Applejack walked in behind Celestia, looking just the same as she had when he had seen her last, over two hundred years ago. Her eyes, like his, told a story of old age, despite her youthful face. “We need your help, otherwise we wouldn't have come, Aden.”

He could hear the difference three hundred years had made in her voice, “call me doctor.”

{Authors Notes: I would once again like to thank my friends John, Cody, Craig, and Chris for helping with spell and grammar check, also my grandmother for helping me put the finishing touches. I would also like to especially thank Chris for challenging me to write this. Finally I would like to thank the community for all they have done for me. A few quick things: 1. Yes that is the end and I plan to write no further into the time line of this story, 2. I do however plan to make two side stories related to Retexo, 3. These side stories names will be “Dr. Aden's Research Notes,” and “C7-TS1”}

You sure do comment a lot, but seriously though thanks for all the feedback. These stories are the first thing I have ever written seriously and took a a lot of time to write. I'm just glad to see someone likes it. I was afraid that the mood changes I tend to write with would scare some people away.

Really liked the ending.

It felt appropriate, although I have been accused of being an Alfred Hitchcock.

Alfred Hitchcock could make another one out of this :P

Oh, and have a 'stache :moustache:

I both loved and hated the end...
Loved because it's not a bad spot to end
.... hated because it's a terrible spot to end,
I want so much more of this!

The idea was actually going to launch a series, that I never finished. All my works were supposed to tie together.

I got one for each of the main six finished. (If you are clever enough to find Flutter's story lost in editing limbo.)

Glad you liked it!

7947048 ok, you definitely have my attention. And a watch.
