A project I've been working on for a long time now. Alternate Universe diverging just before the beginning of Season 9. This is basically a 'pilot movie' for it.

I said this on deviantart's page for the story, but Equestria could really use a Godzilla equivalent. Not sure what Harmony has in mind will qualify as one in the end. Kaiju or not.
But I like the story anyway.
Very little I can say other than excellent job on the exchanges, action, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. Yeah, I can see where slightly altered versions of the events in the Season 8 finale could lead to the creation of these giant creatures. And, yeah, definitely feeling sorry for Manehattan in general (too bad this isn't the Marevel universe otherwise Manehattan would have plenty of super-heroes to handle a giant monster) and yeah, ALSO feeling sorry for Geryon getting transformed against his will. I did, however, enjoy seeing Rainbow and the Young Six stepping up to save the civilians as well as Fluttershy making an honest attempt to calm Geryon down peacefully (granted, it failed, but Flutters STILL gets points for TRYING). But, yeah, while I'm on the fence about creating a Kaiju to fight another Kaiju, I WILL admit it would be better than the five Princesses [Flurry Heart included] AND Discord ALL permanently giving their power to some trustworthy individual, since that would be about the only OTHER thing that MIGHT be powerful enough to fight a Kaiju on equal footing.
Right now, part of me is thinking this is Grogar's doing (the REAL Grogar) as he DOES have that "Father of All Monsters" reputation. But another part of me is saying that is TOO obvious and is probably wrong.
Anyway, I will VERY definitely be looking forward to more of this.

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations, action and future story set-up in all the right places. I especially liked the efforts that went into getting everybody safely out as well as the effort to get that piece of Geryon that, combined with the positive thoughts from Starswirl, Twilight and Gallus, were needed to hatch Philia's egg and how they healed Geryon after Philia defeated him. Plus, good set-up for later stories (not only more giant monsters on the way, but also, thankfully, five more heroic kaiju to help.
VERY much looking forward to next story.
