Though from the (admittedly vague) descriptions, I always assumed Grogar was several thousand years older than the princesses.
A bit short, but nice nonetheless.
A short story, but a good one. Absolutely LOVED your spin on "the real" Grogar. The fact that he simply came to enjoy retirement (specifically the simple hobbies he took up and the friends he made) is just so heart-warming and makes more sense than it should. Plus, the fact that Celestia and Luna will start to age normally now (though they only gave up MOST of their power; not ALL of it. They still have the magic of a unicorn, Pegasus and Earth pony combined, but now just brought down to the level of an AVERAGE unicorn, Pegasus and Earth pony) was another good extra detail.
Still, the exchanges, characterizations and general wrap-up were all quite well done.
This was really good and enjoyable. Not what I would have done with Grogar but this was a unique way to decide where he really was.

But no in all seriousness i do enjoy this fun and quaint little story.
Well, it's a good story, a villain reformed itself because it was bored and knew it was obsolete.
I could even imagine them in the future as the princesses and Grogar travel around checking Equestria and how it changed after some years and to visit Twilight and her student.
