Cuphead isn't really all that hard, except doing the pacifists runs in the gun stages.
Only in hard mode do the bosses really give it to you by moving almost at twice their normal speeds. The only problem I had was with Ms. Septapus head.

Next chapter....the real fun happens.
Time- obvious, beat the boss as quickly as possible.
HP- Don't get hit even once, the bonus goes down whether you have extra HP or not if you get hit.(2-player makes this almost impossible to achieve.)
Parry- Must parry at least three pink attacks. (Harder on some bosses than others, like Ms. Septapus Head. 2-player makes this easier to get)
Super Meter- Hits with super or ex based attacks. Invincibility gives freebie points. (If you don't hit with an ex or super, it doesn't count. Requires at least seven cards be used in battle. 2-player always gets this one if ex attacks are used vigorously between the two players.)
Skill Level- Depends on the difficulty you fight at and do all of the above combined.
Grade S is maximum score.
P is the maximum score on a run and gun level, where you don't even fire your gun once. (Yes, you can do a pacifist on all run and gun levels. Smoke bombs help.)
Sunset didn't do it on hard yet, did the pacifists runs or even do all the king dice mini-fights.
I'm quite sure Sunset is the 'just get to the end of game' kind of player.

Thanks for the shoutout and you're very much welcomed for the idea. This just about played out how I'd have thought.....though my thought was Fluttershy conquering a boss/level with little difficulty......but the consolation works just as well.
....course between this, another fanfic where Fluttershy, Pony!Fluttershy at that, played video games and the EQG comic.....should we fear her getting behind a game controller? 
Better question; would I want to see a sequel with more game nights, even if not every game played is difficult to the degree of Cuphead?
That's okay.....I'd ship a threesome with them and Flutters.

I have played both. It took a little less than two weeks for Cuphead. I have yet to finish Dark Souls 2, and I’ve owned that game for over three to four years.
So much of this chapter... gives me visions of a first-time playthrough of Super Meat Boy. At least it’s much fairer than Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels...
Laughed out loud several times during this whole thing... and I loved every moment of it.

Yes actually! Though it'll be an additional chapter as opposed to another story. I've got a bit of work done on it already, but it may not be for a while still. My priorities on stories shift a lot and at the moment I'm more focused on a much bigger story.
