Well I think Applejack needs to chew out her friends over this. Then again Ponyville is not that welcoming of a town.
I’m interested to see where this goes.
Really liking this story so far
I'm happy at list AI is helping him
They need to talk do they can find out the truth. I hope he'll be OK.
Wow this ponies are nasty.
Wow, everyone seems like a jerk
Its going to be one of these stories? Fuck no I'm stop reading the rest, I'm the aggression type, this is not my type read.

Re: 'those stories' - Not exactly sure what you mean by that, but he doesn't stay a doormat forever, if you think that running away from a lightning bolt throwing psycho is being a doormat. But as far as aggressiveness, that doesn't change as much; Doug stays fairly accommodating and willing to forgive, and he doesn't get as pissed as might be expected from someone treated like this.
Re: Dogs - But, you can talk to the dogs here, and they communicate back, fairly clearly. Enough to get them to act in a play.
Thanks for giving it a try, even if it's not your cup of tea.
He's gonna need some clothing sooner or later. Walking around, even in the Summer, nude is no fun. His feet will be the first to cry for mercy-- one pokey stick or sharp rock could have him going for bandages or the hospital is the puncture wound is deep enough into the soft flesh. Next would be an acute sensitivity to the temperature, like getting soaked by rainwater and air-drying or just hanging outside at night. Oh, and splinters in your butt? Yeah, sitting on anything...
Clothes aren't optional, they're necessary. (And we aren't hairless, [fun fact!] we have as much "fur" as any ape. The strands are merely far thinner and shorter, making it appear like there's nothing there compared to fluffy ponies)
I realize the story it's long finished by this point, but the fact that he's still running around with bare feet and having no ill effects is really off putting.
Even just going outside to my garage would have me feeling every little crack or pebble that was in the way, never mind fields, dirt paths and maybe cobblestone. Not to mention all the other clothing he's missing.

Don't forget sunburns. Depending on his complexion, that could quickly become a problem.

That really depends on whether he's used to walking around barefoot. As someone who likes walking around barefoot - the joys of living in the country - you can build up a tolerance pretty quick. Our species walked around on bare feet for the majority of our existence. ;)
Casual pony racism against ANY creature that ain't a pony? How typical. While I guess I can understand Rainbow Dash going along with it if she was in such a lethargic state, that was still quite disappointing to see.

Agreed. Nothing in a MLP fanfiction story pisses me off faster or more than when ponies just casually assume the non-pony/human is automatically a threat to everyone in the town, even with zero evidence to back that ASSumption up. Then the racist/speciest little furballs proceed to discriminate against the human further, by ostracizing them and proceeding to chase them out of town.
If I was Doug, then I'd leave that bubbling cesspit of intolerance and hatred for good after that and flat out refuse to ever go back into it again and deal with all those furry little assholes' bullshit.
I would also "blacklist" Rainbow Dash as well permanently, for being a giant asshole and dousing my naked body with freezing cold water, then trying to hit and kill me with lighting from that stormcloud and chasing me through Ponyville to Sweet Apple Acres.
Horrible treatment towards a human as Doug received by the ponies here, is one major reason some of them just snap and become the most horrible villain imaginable. Then they proceed to completely raze Equestria to the ground, piss on any of its remaining ashes and either brutally slaughter the ponies until few remain or enslave what is left of the ponies.
