One day, as you're trotting back home with your groceries, it occurs to you that your life has no beginning, middle or end. You just do things and that's that. No heroic rescues, fairytale romances or epic confrontations.

Is there a point?

That can also lead to comparing your story with other people's stories and deeming it inferior.

I agree, but easier said than done, innit? :ajsmug:

So depressing.

I think I'll stuff this on my to read list

How to cope with being unimportant

In the end, nobody is important. Relax. None of this matters.

I couldn't agree more, well said.

Well, this is pretty depressing compared to much of your other writings.
One cannot go through life hamstrung by fear of failure or what others may think of you. Once one accepts the reality that making mistakes is inevitable, it is easier to put oneself out there in life.

Confidence is and always has been a show, a deception that ponies put on to feel better, or to make others feel better.

There is some truth to that, but its not an absolute. There are also those who are confident because they have have been made so by others, and those who, though self-knowledge and experience, are confident in who they are and what they are capable of.
I hope this isn't you being hard on yourself.

Hey man, I just wanna say I've been there. And I know I've been there because you could only describe this feeling if you've felt it before. There is nothing I can say that will help you, there is no magic pill or soloution. I can promise you that it's worth it to stick it out, it does get better and you're on the right track (based on what you're saying). But no matter what the future holds, the feeling your dealing with right now must be difficult, and I truly hope that you can rise above it. You are not alone.
