This story is a sequel to Living In A Van Down By The River

After agreeing to be motivational speakers at CHS, The Dazzlings are no longer living in a van down by the river. However, once they start dealing with the various problems of some of the CHS students, they may wish they'd stayed in said van down by the river.

A series of stories chronicling the Dazzlings as motivational speakers at CHS.

This... makes me wonder what other shenanigans would happen, especially if it's Sonata's turn.

9812171
Oh, I have some interesting plans for Sonata :raritywink:

9812188
Wait till you see what comes next :pinkiehappy:

“I don’t give a rat’s ass because I’m moving in with her,” She asserted as she pointed to Wallflower. “I’m sick and tired of living with Sunset Shimmer. She's impossible to get along with and makes me wish I were still living in a van down by the river!”

Aaaaaand now i wanna see a chapter set in Sunset's apartment

Vice Principle Luna’s

You used the wrong principle.

It was....OK.

But I really wish you gave Adagio some of her own original lines.

Because it sounds too much like Matt Foley. A high-strung obese man and a sensual siren who oozes charm are two very different people.

9812646
Don't worry, everything from this point on will be more original.

So, we're going to conveniently ignore that Wallflower might live with parents or family who'd object to this? Eh, guess she could be an orphan...who lives in a house all by herself...even though she has no job or income...eh, it's a cartoon. Cartoon logic.

I love this so much. Please find a way to incorporate Spitfire, her Matt Foley speech to Scootaloo is one of the best scenes in Season 8.

9814827
I think I can write a story involving Spitfire. The only question is, which Dazzling should she talk to?

“Well, sex does wonders for me. Have you tried that?” She suggested.

:facehoof: Really good first impression there Aria...

The next chapter will feature Sonata and Bulk Biceps.

:yay: Now I'm curious as to how this will go

9815034
Whichever of them is most likely to end up in a full wing and hoof cast, drinking through a straw!

okay.................this story. Is. HILARIOUS.

I like this chapter! It's a sweet moment between Aria and Rainbow Dash!

Rainbow Dash and Sonata are dating? Didn't expect that! But I am very curious of how it all happened.

I do have some suggestions for who the Dazzlings motivate next (besides the main cast), but you don't have to use all of them: Trixie, Micro Chips, Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon and the CMCs.

9815583
Lots of good suggestions, I'll keep them in mind

This is not what I expected. The mixture of frustration and feels was good.

xD. Just freaking brilliant. Poor Bulk though

Ri2

Guess Bulk won't be making that competition after all.

Oh dear. Hope Bulk is okay.

Aria and Trixie sounds funny

All I can say is...

Ouch for both Sonata and Bulk.

“THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE REQUIRES YOUR ASSISTANCE!” Trixie Lulamoon loudly declared from the doorway as she entered the room.

“Oh fuck my life.” Aria quietly remarked as she swallowed her food and put her sandwich down.

If I were in Aria's shoes, I would say the exact same thing :rainbowlaugh:

Great job. As always

Wow, Aria solved two problems in a row! She is really good at her job, more than she realized! :pinkiehappy:

Anyway, this was a very good chapter, especially an emotional moment between Aria and Trixie. :pinkiesad2:

I'm glad you liked my idea!

Honestly, I've been looking forward to another Adagio chapter.

9820563
I've been putting off using Adagio because I couldn't think of a good story for her, but with howard035's suggestion of using Spitfire I think I have something.

You know what would've made this better. I mean, this was already good, but...

I would've loved to see Aria talk about how she struggled with her own identity after her gem was destroyed. How she felt defined by her siren powers, only to find a new calling: motivational speaking. And how this help realize she could be more then just a siren.

9822257
You may have just given me an idea for a future chapter, though I'm not sure if I'd use Aria or not.

Sonata and Maud hunh? That can only go so well... xD

“Why did I ever agree to this job?” Adagio asked herself, causing memories of her and her sisters living in a van down by the river to cross her mind. “Oh, right.”

90 percent of the population has asked themselves that question at least once Adagio.

“IF YOU DON’T BACK OFF I SWEAR I’M GOING TO PUT YOU IN A FULL-BODY CAST!” she shouted right in Adagio’s face.

But you didn't add "drinking through a straw."

9826443
At first I did include the "drinking through a straw" part, but the more I thought about it the more it made the threat seem less serious so I just settled for the "full-body" part.

9826456

You could add: "When I'm through with you, you'll be drinking through a straw."

Sooo...did Adagio move in with Wallflower or not? Because it's not mentioned here, at all.

Also, if Spitfire didn't make the soccer team at CU, then why was she accepted to the university at all? Most universities don't accept athletes unless they've already qualified for a team and have actually signed a contract or memo of understanding to play for the team. And if she doesn't know what she'll be otherwise, then that means she hasn't picked out a major, and it's even rarer for a university to select a student athlete who doesn't have a major picked out (even if they don't actually intend to stick with it, as most student athletes don't).

Other than that, this was actually a well-written chapter, with good characterization, and an interesting combination that you surprisingly made work.

9827487
Don't worry, Adagio's living situation will be addressed in her next story.

Thanks for your feedback on this chapter

Oh dear. Without her athletic career, Spitfire will probably end up residing in some kind of aquatic-adjacent light truck.

Spitfire and Adagio? Hi! I'm the person with the big picture of those two in the middle of my user page, and I feel like I've been summoned by a Bat Signal!

DagiFire is the best possible pairing of any MLP characters, and my absolute favourite. No two characters are more confident and driven, and you got it right when you said they really understand each other :yay:

I'd highly recommend Ambient Nightfall's story for the pairing, in which human Spitfire is a skydiver.

So...in the Sonata-Pinkie comedy act, Sonata is the straight man...or girl in this case? Didn't see that coming.

So Adagio and Aria didn't care for Sonata? That's sad! :applecry:

It was nice of Maud for inviting Sonata to a Pie Sisters’ Surprise Swap Day!

Aria and Derpy eh? This'll be interesting!

Sonata and Pinkie in the same room is too much for me to comprehend.

AS for the next planned chapter, considering how much Aria's character has developed, it should be interesting how she helps Derpy, unless Derpy has...that problem

That ending was pretty sweet actually. Heh, just wait till Pinkie finds out who Sonata's secret girlfriend is; there'll be an even bigger party for that!

Spitfire’s sudden threat had startled and intimated Adagio, but she didn’t let it show.

The word you're looking for is "intimidated," not "intimated". Intimated means guessed, intimidated means frightened or unnerved.

That being said, not a bad chapter at all.

My prediction for the final chapter: All three Dazzlings go visit their old broken-down van, down by the river. When they get there, they find PostCrush, whose revival never really took off, squatting in their abandoned van. They try to motivate the duo but fail, so they just have the van towed.

Sunset Shimmer? That will be interesting.

Love this chapter! Once again, Aria is the best motivational speaker! While she hated to do the tough love act with Adagio, she at least helped Derpy to stand up to herself.

“NOW YOU LISTEN AND LISTEN GOOD, YOU WALKING CHEETO PUFF!”

As scary as Derpy was acting at that moment, I will admit, that line is funny. :rainbowlaugh:

Adagio and Sunset Shimmer is next eh? This'll be interesting.

Okay, now I can't wait for the next chapter. Of the three dazzlings so far, I like Adagio the least

Ah, the crazy one and the unfortunate wingman

“Oh, um, 742 Evergreen Terrace.” Wallflower answered.

Doh!

...Also, won't Celestia be surprised when she finds her bottle of tequila missing.

I felt bad for Derpy at the beginning. Some punk tried to exploit her insecurity. People like that need to be avoided at all cost.

I like how you applied Matt Foley's shtick.

“Um, where do you live, Wallflower?” She awkwardly asked.

“Oh, um, 742 Evergreen Terrace.” Wallflower answered.

Wallflower, you are good.

Never expected the drama. But it was good all the same.
