"Jimmy Hook's the Name, Transformations is my Game" (Victim of The Cursed Gift since September 2016)

E

The day is long and boring in Canterlot, and three young girls are bored. Nothing can cure their boredom... except for an mad man in a blue box. That, and a trip back to 1952...

I can do some more adds if you want.

And done. Hope you get some readers.

Interesting story idea more so that I live in Norfolk Virginia.
But why 611 there are 12 other class Js No one shows love to the rest of the class.
Rant done can’t wait for more

9660807
Well reason why: 611 is the only sole survivor of her class :)

Sweet! Story about N&W the last railroad in America to have steam power Locomotives.

Fun, keep up the good work!

9660810
That's no reason! In Britain, people remember the A3s other than Flying Scotsman.

Class A railroad. The D&RGW didn't cease steam operations until 1968.

"If only we were in Scotland!" Apple Bloom exclaimed. "We could have caught the Jacobite up ta Mallaig!"

I tried that in 2014 when I took the sleeper to Fort William. Turned out you have to book in advance.

9661721
Yeah that too. The N&W was the last place to see mainline steam action in the east.

9662056
Hmmm. Of course, the last country in Europe to phase out steam was Slovakia (early 2000s).

9661852
Yes you do. It was well worth the £37.75 I parted with though...

9662061
Ok. But the N&W was the last American railroad to run steam locomotives on mainline operations until the Southern Steam Program started in the late 60s.

9662187
And, of course, they ran those into the 1990s.

9662189
Yeah. I hope more N&W steam appears in the story along with a few other steam engines from other railroads especially the Y6b Class 2-8-8-2s, the A class 2-6-6-4s, and a few others too.

So certain human counterparts (from Canterlot High) of MLP are companions of the Doctor?
Which Ditzy and Dinky are they talking about? The Canterlot High verison or the ponies from Equestria?
Is Cozy Glow same as her counterpart...?

9662930
-sigh- if you need those questions asked, take a look at my UK Friend, aka The Blue EM2's, stories to see why

9663005
You may need to link End of an Age in the description.

9663925
I'll make sure to do that.

9663971
Very good.

Oh my giddy aunt!

9663979
yep =3

XD I remember from one of T1E2H3's NWR Origins Season 2 episodes, aka the one that focuses on Montague/Duck, that one of the Big Engines on the GWR who was bullying Montague/Duck and the Little Engines on the GWR said that exact saying when he realized that he was late for his passenger run :rainbowlaugh:

9664009
Oh right: one thing to note about T1E2H3's NWR Origins series, aka Seasons 1 and 2 it takes place in the same timeline as his Engines of Sodor series.

In other words.... Season 1 of NWR Origins shows the arrival of... Thomas, Edward, Henry (and of course 87546/Crovan and Alfred), Gordon, James, Donald and Douglas, and Oliver to the Island of Sodor while Season 2 of NWR Origins shows the arrival of... Percy, Toby, Montague/Duck, Bill and Ben, Mavis, and Boco to the Island of Sodor.

9664076
OK. That doesn't make much sense, given he would probably have been built in Doncaster.

9664110
Yeah, well like I said: this is his theory of how the engines came to Sodor so it doesn't have to be 100% canon to both The Railway Series and TV Series.

9664173
Right. But in my book, Awdry's writing takes precedence over the TV series.

9664178
True.

While on the topic of the Railway Series, it was so awesome that Bert, Mike, and Rex (noticed how I said their names in the order of their focus story in the first book they appeared in? :raritywink:) appeared in the TV Series ^^ Now all we need is Frank, Jock, and The Blister Twins to appear in the TV Series so that can round out the remainder of the motive power of the Arlesdale Railway seen in the TV Series ^^

9664220
That too :raritywink:

Still though, the possibilities are endless though to see a lot of things that appeared in The Railway Series and have it appear in, well, the TV series! :D

9664182
I actually travelled on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway (or the La'al Ratty as the locals call it) yesterday. (Complete with seeing the driver of one of the trains taking his dog on the footplate with him). Unfortunately, there were no copies of The Small Railway Engines available.

9664236
Hopefully they're not too busy introducing loads of foreign characters they can handily sell as toys in foreign markets...

9664249
A real shame. I also find it odd that Ballast was never adapted, though given modern attention spans, most kids would probably find it boring.

9664355
And because The Arlesdale Railway already debuted in Sodor's Legend Of The Lost Treasure

9664361
Still a bit of a shame that they chose not to adapt it, similar to Bluebells of England.
