Spike and Twilight discover a book in the school library they've never seen before. Upon trying one of the spells, Spike is sent to the world of Donkey Kong and is transformed into an ape upon arrival. The Kongs take Spike in and help him get used to his new form, but danger lurks around the corner as scheming reptiles plot to take down the island of monkeys. A country-wide journey is about to begin!

This was actually one of the few things that remained the same with the story after I originally came up with the idea back after Season Six ended. See, back when I originally thought of this story, the plan was for the Mane Six to get sent to the DK universe with Spike and they'd all be turned into apes. I thought it was such a cool concept that I decided to keep it after I scrapped the idea of the Mane Six getting sent to the DK universe and just settled on it being just Spike. As for why Spike looks as he does now... you'll find out next chapter.
